**WARNING: the following post may contain details or images which some people may find upsetting**
The Belfast Market Managers have just informed us they've received this shocking message:

User

Belfie's now moved on to see our other Pitch Perfect winners at The Dribbly Yak stall. They're doing fantastic at their first Christmas Market with us selling unique wooden crafts.
Stuck for a gift? just pop by and see all the great products they have 👍

User

With only 4 days to go...... Belfie is visiting our Pitch Perfect winner Petra Armstrong on the Armstrong's Twisted Fish stall. He's been looking for a gift for his 4-legged friend and has heard that Petra sells the most amazing grain free pet food. The perfect gift!
Looks like he's made a new friend too 😃 Rufus 😃

User

Halifax Ultimate Reward debit card found front of market stalls by a lovely chap Ronan on Donegall sq North. He had handed it into security ... hope it gets reunited with it’s owner for Christmas 🤞🏻

User

Whoo Hoo 🙌🏻

With the added sitting area + food court + musicians playing this year - a fun play area for the kids added in.. it was a wonderful experience.. our city hall looks excellent every year with its fabulous lights + i must say the Christmas tree is the best one by far this year -- decorations are wonderfulll -- loved it ..

User

This is probably the best Christmas market I have ever been to and that includes Bruges. The stalls were beautiful, individual and unique and didn't repeat themselves all round the market like a lot of Christmas markets tend to do. And what a beautiful backdrop. Well done Belfast and I will definitely be back next year.

User

My daughter was here this morning with a small group from her day centre. She thoroughly enjoyed herself getting to taste all the lovely food (even kangaroo burger!). A big thankyou to those who took the time to show them round the stalls and of course to her staff too.

User

Me and my daughter took a walk round it yesturday and see all the different item for sale plus the smell of the food was great tp we enjoy some hot chocolate and pancakes would say it is real worth a vist .

User

Lovely wee night out with my Wife. All wrapped up, with a wee cup of mulled wine or two. It’s lovely to walk about the stalls and have a bite to eat.

User

Love the market year after year. Tho sad the French stall with the filled baguettes aren’t there again but still a great place to go with lots of lovely food 😊

User

It's amazing! My husband and I go every year. Filled our bellys on tasty venison burgers. Washed that down with Bailey's hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows for dessert! Plus browsed some fantastic stalls for Xmas presents inspiration. Wonderful day out, I highly recommend!

User

Good day out it is bit busy but it's in the city centre so what can you do we love it few pints and a bit of food happy days happy Christmas one and all

User

Absolutely brilliant market, the best food stalls and great unique gift ideas.

Honestly the best gyro from the Greek stand I've ever had, the lobster burger from the mourne fish bar was a special treat, and the bubble waffles overshadowed even the churros, which are also amazing!

Must have put on a stone that day, but well worth it for a festive treat!

User

User

Loved visiting the markets for the first time.. great atmosphere and loving to get into the Christmas spirit 🙂 only one criticism is it was too busy and felt a bit overwhelming with all the people.. A one way walking system may be an idea for next year...

User

Had a lovely time in the markets over the weekend. Amazing gourmet burgers (Goats cheese and sun-dried tomatoes!!!) The mini donuts are a must!! They were so fresh, warm and crispy. Really like the new layout with the big food court area and a lovely mix of stalls with gifts for Christmas. Will be back again soon!

User

Better placed stalls this year. Great atmosphere and good variety of goods to purchase. Also a chance to meet visitors to the city. I met a lovely family from Co Meath yesterday.

One complaint the burger I bought from the world stalk was very very overcooked.

User

It was lovely to walk around and soak up the Christmas atmosphere lots of stalls but lacking in actual Christmas stuff like craft stalls and decorations however if it is a foodie or chocolate experience you’re after this is the right place for you! 🎅🏼🤶🌲 🎁

User

A fine fare of food and crafts that can bring people together very well, but as this year and many other years have shown; it's that it STILL Has an excruciating Public Cram Problem which is an issue for small children and Sensory Sensitive People.

Also, if they haven't done so already, they need to update and uphold their No Smoking policy, as I'm sure people with asthma would not like being blown on in close proximity.

Although The seating area is a good start, they'll need to improve on it greatly for next year.

In closing, they need to try and adopt a contraflow system so that crowds can move in better flux than usual.

User

hot dogs when up by 2 quid...£5er one day 7 the next....£3.50 for a "very" small mulled wine....place is a rip off....is there no one there who requlates this place...over priced to say the least.

User

Normally I love the markets but sat night was crazy. Far too many people allowed into beer tent. It was a fire hazard. Too many young ones off their head, fighting, bouncers throwing ppl out. ( the fact we have bouncers at a christmas market shows that behaviour here with drink is a disgrace. Nothing Christmassy about it. It was like a cattle market, We left!!!! Hoping it's a one off. Nowhere else with Christmas markets behave like this. There is a fantastic Christmas element to the markets in Poland, London, Amsterdam etc. Here not so much so far. disappointed.

User

All the same as every year, the only plus more space for guests to relax. Dirty, many of the unnecessary things that spoil the appearance of the environment. Belfast has better places to organize more attractions than the city hall.

User

They couldn't wait to get people out yesterday and were very rude about it...! Family was over from Liverpool and also the whole shutting up shop at 6.00pm...!!! Tourists arriving in about 5.00 and loving it like myself to get the rudeness an getting thrown out after a bite to eat...!! All wrong....!
