Belfast Day Of The Dead Description
~ El Dia de los Muertos in the City Hall Grounds 4th November 4–8pm ~
Free! Enter through the fiery, flowery Dia de los Muertos archway
to fire pods for sitting in, story telling, Mexican music, old style carnival games and performers, street food, fire artists – and see the Lords Of Lightning create an electric spectacle, throwing bolts of lightning to paint sizzling pictures in the air. The Lords Of Lightning perform twice: at 4. 55pm and 7. 10pm
Across at Writers’ Square, a Day Of The Dead parade assembles at 5. 30, starts at 6pm and processes through the City centre to enter the City Hall site by 6. 35.
Event performance culminates with a Festival 50th Birthday celebration cake and a spectacular fire and lightning finalé!
