SURPRISE CALLER! Princess Cruises' Pacific Princess will be calling in Belfast tomorrow morning for the second time this year, bringing over 1,100 visitors with her! Currently berthed in Pollock Dock, the general cargo ship Bosphorus Asia (20,000GT) has a cargo carrying capacity of 32,000 tonnes and has arrived in Belfast importing steel coils
This week has been busy with cruise ships and it's not over just yet with another 4 ships still due to berth in Belfast. By Sunday, a total of 15.4k visitors will have sailed to Belfast in 7 days! The Kellett Island cargo vessel - registered in Hong Kong - pictured loading coal, this morning after a journey from Santa Marta, Columbia. The coal will then to be exported to Ghent, Belgium.

Unfortunately, the Variety Voyager has had to cancel her scheduled visit to Belfast tomorrow. The operators have advised this is due to operational issues with the ship but are hopeful that Voyager will return, as planned on the 17th.

Tomorrow sees the start of our busiest month for cruise ship activity with 26 vessels and more than 43,000 visitors due to arrive in Belfast Harbour. #ThrowbackThursday - the Harbour Office pre 1857. The artist of this painting was never confirmed, however, it is thought to have been WJ Barre (designer of the Albert clock) because of the style of the people.
Congratulations to the MJM Group and everyone involved in the successful refurbishment of the Azamara Pursuit. She left Belfast last night after being berthed here for four months during her refit and we look forward to welcoming her back on 15th of August when she will bring 1000 visitors the City!

Titanic Centre , Nomadic , and of course the recently opened to the public HMS Caroline are not to be missed historical venues. Anyone interested in wild birds can visit the RSPB harbour reserve on Airport Road side of the harbour, free to RSPB members or a small charge of Β£3 for non members , inside the main hide there is free use of spotting scopes and binoculars .
Massive thank you to the 2 Harbour Police officers who stopped with us in Tomb Street tonight to give advice re being locked out of the car (sorry for flagging you down like a looper lol) greatly appreciated your help.
