Not to big an airport easy to get around, a small duty free and several eatting places, prity mutch every thing you would expect at an airport, to sum up a good airport.

My husband and I have been traveling far and wide for 50 years and it is our worst nightmare traveling through Belfast International Airport!
The people who work on security are poorly trained and so rude. We book priority which is a waste of time and money. We are both pensioners and my husband forgot to remove his braces once! It appeared to be a ‘hanging’ offence. One rude security man put them in a tray threw the tray across the room narrowly missing a colleague. I was frisked this time and the security person was inside my jeans and pants! They have our full contact details and passport. We walk through an X Ray
machine so what is this degrading behaviour all about. It doesn’t happen anywhere else.
Graham Keddie do something about this ASAP.

It's a small regional airport. There's no rail services. Belfast is 30 minutes ride away and is well outside the city. The airport security is usually quick and organised. Parking is usually available at short notice. The airport itself is dated and worn.

If you are going to Belfast, be prepared not to get a seat as the airport doesn't have enough seats or facilities overall to cater for the fair amount of passengers it serves. Not enough security causing a queue that was only dealt with for a short time. Toilets are ok and plentiful car rental.

I understand the need for increased security checks these days and while I don't like them I get they are necessary but to be kept waiting on your bag and then not be told why all of your luggage is being unpacked by a very surly checker is not right.
I started by politely asking her if I could take my phone out of my case as it was in the wee pocket on the back. First she refused this request telling me that she had to unpack my bag. Then she told me to remove my phone....she then unpacked most of my luggage, just leaving in a couple of pairs of smalls. She then swabbed my case with no explanation and then put it through the scanner again.
When asked why she said it was because we had food in the case....which is a complete load of rubbish as we had the same amount of food in the other case which wasn't searched.
All in all not the nicest of experiences. A little explanation (manners) would have gone a very long way

This airport is a bit out of date. The selection of shops and cafés is adequate to a medium-sized airport. Some things can be improved but generally it does enough to satisfy passengers' needs.

On arrival from UK and departure the airport looks quite shabby. Inside its quite pleasant with a number of the usual airport cafes etc. Security staff are very pleasant which can be unusual in airports! All in all a reasonable experience but does need money spent on it!

This is definitely not an International airport!!through no fault of its own.

The staff and amenities were good. Airport is very dated and in need of some 'plc' but does what it needs to do efficiently.

I am concerned that there are no security barriers stopping the public from actually entering the arrival hall where the baggage carousels are .It is possible to walk into the airport and straight into the hall I don't know of any other airport where this is possible, in these days of heightened security.

Having to walk from the plane to the main building is a nightmare. This airport for those that don't know sits on top of a plateau leaving the airport more exposed than most others, where you also have to walk plane/ building. Some form of shelter is definitely required. It's no fun sitting on a plane in wet clothing for ages.

Where does the money from the drop/go car park go? It has been suggested that it goes to charity??? Is this correct ?

Finally I must point out the sterling work of the lady who looks after lost property. We recently lost an item and nothing was too much trouble for her, she went around the airport herself checking for our item and rang us back immediately- so a special thanks to her.

There are few places or people in this world that cannot be improved this airport is one of them.

The Jeremy Kyle show of airports.

I am sitting in the departure lounge right now, and to be honest, I'd rather be anywhere else. This airport is an embarrassment to the nation.

The toilets are disgusting and smell like a London underpass! I'm sure I just saw silverfish in there!

The Starbucks is disgracefully overpriced. Airports, after emigration are supposed to be tax free. These guys are just bare faced thieves! At least Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask when he robbed people!

As for the Burger king! I actually thought I was in a "My Chemical Romance" music video. This place is staffed by the most depressed, couldn't care less people I've ever encountered.

The pick up/drop off is stupid. Pay to drive through an airport?! They are thieves. Birmingham airport charges £1 to park for an hour! Belfast city airport doesn't charge for pick up/drop off! These guys are just using the pick up point as a source of funds. Bunch of criminals.

I can see why people are prepared to drive to Dublin airport (across an international border, to a foreign country!!!) rather than use this airport.

Let me be blunt. If you are a family of four travelling, and you were to use the facilities in this airport, it would have been cheaper to have someone drive you to Dublin airport. And to add insult to injury, Dublin airport would not have charged you further drop off point.

Also, you have less chance of contacting dysentery from the toilets in Dublin airport.

Try to avoid this place if you can. Use Belfast city airport or some other alternative.
