spent a wonderful afternoon and evening in Berts Jazz Bar last Saturday....manager and staff couldn't have been more attentive to us....blown away by the Berts All Star Band.....the singer was very engaging and dedicated a Tony Bennett song to us.....has to be a Belfast hidden gem this place

Well we're should I start!! My daughter's graduation yesterday and she chose to eat here having been before! We booked for 11 people and the graduation menu! Holly the graduate, is gluten intolerant and Jessica my other daughter has severe food allergies! The staff were amazing with them both and catered so well and were completely on the ball! Pedro was our waiter and he was so attentive! Food was amazing, staff were amazing and the cocktails were too good! Fabulous place

Took my wife to Bert's for our 2nd wedding anniversary. We had a 3 course dinner and bottle of wine for a very reasonable price. The food was fantastic. Can't fault it at all! The service staff were exceptional, the band were incredible. The house even gave us a plate of assorted dessert treats as an anniversary gift which was such a lovely touch. We had a thoroughly enjoyable night. Great food, great atmosphere, great staff, great value. Definitely recommend. We'll go back for sure.

We arrived and from the entrance with the friendly polite and smiling doorman, you are made to feel at ease and welcome before you even enter the premises, and that's just the start. The staff inside are efficient, professional, warm and friendly, from the moment they took our coats, to serving etc you couldn't get any better (excellence at its best).



Our waitress Chloe (a diamond) was AMAZING, tending/serving our every request and knowledgeable to answer every question, and always available with a smile....it was a delight to have her as our waitress....nothing was too much for her.....magnificent service!!!



Attention to detail is this venues attributes, you have trained your staff exceedingly well, from our wine and water glasses being refilled for us, not permitted to be empty, to the tasty food and the great music.



The staff have their eye on the ball, they blew us away from start to end, especially when someone different from who took our coats, brought our coats back to us and knew whose coat was whose without asking....AMAZING SERVICE.



The ambience of the venue is elegant with a touch of class, to which the staff and food complimented it exceedingly well.



Thank you for an amazing time - it was our first time but it most definitely will not be our last.

Sunday brunch such a treat, the food was first class and the jazz in the background was perfect.

One of my favourite places to visit for a cocktail beautiful surroundings and friendly efficient staff, some might say it's a little on the expensive side, but you do feel very spoilt when there.

And you get what you pay for

It was my first visit - although I have wanted to go many times. It exceeded my expectations. The decor is beautiful, quite decadent and rich colours, very comfortable seats. The greeting was warm and friendly and our waitress was knowledgeable and couldn't do enough for us. The menu contained almost all my favourite foods and the chef went to the trouble of making a non vegetarian dish, vegetarian for my friend. In short, they just couldn't do enough for us. I drank my body weight in cocktails (it was my birthday)! And the band - with the excellent Kyron Bourke sang a request for me. And I'm fairly sure Happy Birthday was sung as I was presented with a birthday platter. (I was in cocktail world by then). I chatted to loads of other guests too and they were all lovely people. It's just a great place and felt like a party.

I'll visit again with a 2 cocktail limit and maybe eat a tad less. I'll probably not flirt with the band either - but can't guarantee that. But I'm sure I'll equally have as great a night.

My favourite restaurant in Northern Ireland - and forget that, the UK too.

Had a beautiful 3 course meal and cocktails here this evening, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. The decor was stunning and the bar very spacious and lots of space between tables. The staff were second to none, very helpful and attentive. Will definitely be back soon, thank you.

Been here a few times and was there last night to see guest bartender Pete Hannah and it was excellent. A skilled bartender in a great bar with good ambiance and atmosphere. #AmaliaAnywhere

From the backdrop behind the band to the end of the bar...rich colours throughout..a lot of dark red. We were a family group of 3 ranging in ages but all felt welcome and treated superbly.

The service & food was excellent.

Jazz band were so talented and topped the evening for us. Looking forward to our next visit.

Let down by charging a £3.98 "service charge" on top of the £9.95 cocktails to bring them to our table. I'm perfectly capable of carrying my own drinks but the barman insisted he would have the drinks brought to our table. Then a waiter came and poured a couple of glasses of iced water whilst we waited. Nice touch I thought. After 2 cocktails each we asked for the bill to find we had been charged £3.98 for a service charge. This is fine if you're informing people before you do it, unacceptable if you aren't. Been several times & this has never happened before. There is nothing on your cocktail menu literature about this and when I complained to the waiter he shrugged his shoulders & informed me it had been this way since he started there. Would put me off returning. Great cocktails however.

I booked a table for two for my girlfriends birthday and everything was lovely, the food, the music, drinks and the staff were very pleasant. But I am very disappointed and I did not realise that on the bill was £8.56 service charge I presume for bringing down two cocktails! !! I honestly think this is a big rip off even if declared somewhere apparently. People are paying big enough money for a night out in Berts without being ripped off. I don't think bars and restaurants should get away with this !!!
