Bide A While - Country Tea Room

Not quite the traditional Easter simnel cake but my version of it - a moist Canadian fruit cake with marzipan on top A very blessed Easter to all our customers

Rhubarb and strawberry tart first of the season along with all the other home made cakes - beautiful lemon meringue etc

Well we are getting ready to reopen after our holidays on Thursday 7 February at 10am. Look forward to catching up with all our lovely customers We have missed you all and the great conversations. Can you believe that January is over!

The Tea Room is now closed for holidays and will reopen on THURSDAY 7 FEBRUARY 19 Have a wonderful blessed Christmas and a very happy New Year. Thank you for all your support over the last year it has meant a lot to the whole team in Bide a While

Santa Claus better not come early or he’ll get his beard toasted! but Mrs Claus will be here all day Saturday £5 per child with pressie cookies and juice. This is our last week before holidays start

Mini Christmas dinners this week and next with special Christmas toasties and Christmas pudding now on the menu

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and all set up for first group dinner. Log cabin be ready soon for Mrs Claus who will be coming on Saturday 15 December

Gluten free mini mince pies now available along with usual mini mince pies

This small navy coat was left behind last week. I am sure the little owner will be needing it this sort weather

Little gluten free marshmallow ghosties to help celebrate 5 years of Bide a While and lovely Victorian fruit cake along with the other usuals

Kimberley and coconut creams and pancakes with bacon and maple syrup - delicious

I love wagon wheels and today decided to try make some for tomorrow including home made marshmallow - spot the naked one without chocolate - messy process but they taste divine

Open again and scones and rhubarb tart etc all waiting for you

Just back from a delightful natter over scrumpy cake in this establishment.

Very friendly owner and staff. The service was very attentive. The Apple and raspberry tart was amazing. The surroundings were so comfy and pretty.

Had a lovely relaxing morning at bide a while today. Weather truly horrible outside on a cold january morning but the gorgeous cake and scones and great hospitality made it a great place to bide a while!! Can't wait to go again.

Had a fantastic afternoon in this place. Great coffee, home baked cakes and short bread. Best of all it is so cosy with the stove and the owner is very welcoming. Great for families as the wee ones have a variety of toys to play with.

Great value and great food and drink, so cosy and welcoming and child friendly too - perfect!!

Great food, atmosphere and a lovely hostess. She makes my little girls so welcome every time we are there.

Everyone should visit this place. Excellent food in beautiful surroundings, and lovely staff. Will be back :-)
