We were at the hotel for dinner two Saturday nights ago. Lovely food but what really stood out was the service. A genuine, friendly welcome on arrival, non-fussy care and attention throughout the meal and we stayed for a drink in the bar afterwards and the bar staff could not have been nicer.
The hotel embodies all the good things about Derry people. Warm, good craic, friendly and down to earth. Can’t wait to go back.
We recently held our parents 60 wedding anniversary in the hotel. It was an amazing night , food superb and staff so helpful. The room was exactly as we asked . I can not recommend this hotel highly enough.
We had our private wedding dinner, Donna and her team could not have done more for us, so attentive and we wanted for nothing! Food was 5*, and our room was the penthouse which was beautiful! Brilliant evening within superb settings and a fabulush team! Again thank you, Mr & Mrs Meenan �
We had our Wedding at Bishops Gate yesterday (June 21st) and I don't know where to start...Donna & Keith are two of the nicest and hard working individuals we've ever met. They worked tirelessly for us all day. All the staff were remarkable with impeccable service. The Chef and Kitchen team are outstanding, delivering the most delicious and timely food service we've ever had. All the guests raved about the food as "The nicest they've ever tasted". The room and suite were beautiful and even down to the tiniest detail everything was perfect!
We were treated incredibly by everyone and are just so happy to have chosen Bishops Gate to celebrate the best day of our lives and it truly was in a very big part thanks to the hotel. We will never be able to thank you all enough, from the bottom of our hearts we are so so grateful to every single staff member who helped make our Wedding the magnificent day it was.

Such a lovely restaurant.. staff 100 % attentive .. the menu didn’t have a lot for my daughter but the kids menu was great .. food excellent would go again ..
Such a fab stay here last week, service was top class with an upgrade to the beautiful new apartment. Special shout out to Ciara on reception, manager on duty Mark and concierge Conor!
I honestly can say probably the best service I have experienced in a hotel ever organised a very special night for my friends 40th and honestly the hotel staff especially Stephanie on reception are exceptional as is Mark food is devine and afternoon tea is an experience you must have the treats is just out of this world definitely will return ty bishops gate.
I can honestly say this may quite possibly be the best hotel I have stayed in anywhere - in the world!
A lovely hotel, gorgeous rooms, gorgeous food, lovely ambience and...
....every single member of staff was the friendliest most helpful person and in an utterly genuine way.
Whoever recruits all these lovely people deserves a round of applause, as do all the staff

Had the most fabulous meal with my family this evening, every bite was perfection and the service was superb. Stuffed but very satisfied! Every my phone call to reserve the table was 5 star. Great work, keep it up!
Had meal here last night. Not only is the food amazing, easily best in Derry, but the staff were so attentive. Can’t wait to get back.
Had a lovely family meal there and the staff where very friendly would definitely recommend the hotel and will be back to dine again first class
Great hotel with amazing staff!
We had the most amazing weekend in this beautiful hotel. Comfortable rooms, cosy bar and restaurant, great food and live music. The staff were exceptional. Everyone of them -from porters and receptionists to bar and restaurant staff - went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We can’t wait to go back again!
Fantastic afternoon tea experience with 14 of us enjoying afternoon tea in the ballroom. The food was fresh and tasty and the desserts in particular were fabulous. Service was excellent with Keith. Ben and Conor looking after us. I would highly recommend the hotel for afternoon tea and will definitely be back again.
Fabulous hotel with brilliant staff. From the moment we arrived the staff were so attentive and friendly. Amanda told us about the history of the hotel whilst encouraging us to dine in the hotel and we are so glad we did the steaks were perfection you are an asett to the bishops gate team. Highly recommend this hotel to friends family and colleagues xx
Could do with a bit more vegetarian choices but all the staff were very proficient and the restaurant very good and helpful. Love the welcome cakes.
Been here a few times now in the last couple of weeks and it’s just brilliant from you walk in the door the staff are excellent and the food was beautiful keep up the good work
Beautiful hotel. Extremely central. Spotlessly clean. But have to say the staff made the stay. They were so attentive especially in the bar and lounge area. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious and good value. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back. Thank you
Afternoon Tea at this hotel was delicious. Beautiful selection of sandwiches’ scones and cakes. Champagne trifle was so good 😋. The tea was topped up regular. Chef even sent us out a little extra to wish us a Happy Birthday. Excellent service and our waitress was so pleasant and friendly. Definitely recommend.
