✅EGR Removal: Initially introduced to help vehicle emissions and reduce nox gases from the exhaust by recirculating a percentage of exhaust gases and lowering combustion temperatures.
Some vehicles do benefit from the removal process, but many modern diesel engines use this EGR valve for other engine process’s so it is not just an EGR valve i.e. used during a DPF regeneration process to cool the exhaust down after regeneration (Control combustion temperature to protect delicate modern injectors etc).

What is Vehicle remapping?
The ECU contains a file which stores the parameter settings that were set at the point of manufacture.
Manufacturers build tolerances into their engines in order to comply with emission targets, cope with sub-standard fuels, harsh operating environments and poor service standards and intervals.

✅Naturally Aspirated Cars… We have great success with naturally aspirated engines providing improved throttle response, mid range torque, elimination of any flat spots and overall better usable drive-ability.
We do not directly offer or quote economy/MPG increases for Naturally Aspirated cars as due to the nature of the engines it is not realistically possible to achieve the efficiency gains we see from Diesel Turbo variants, however on some variants clients have provided fee...dback showing gains of up to 10% improvement.
Whilst the peak BHP gain may seem insignificant and many clients can be deterred into thinking “it’s not worth it” the gain the midrange RPM can be very impressive in addition to the increased throttle response which overall can transform the characteristics of the engine.
For example this MG 3 1.5 naturally aspirated engine produced 103 BHP Stock and approximately 108 BHP with the Stage 1 Remap which is a gain of approximately 5 BHP at peak (5,500 RPM) however at 4,250 RPM gains can be seen of approximately 14 HP!

✅DSG Tuning… DSG Gearbox is something we can support, although we have little demand as the DSG gearboxes are very renowned for their adaptability as they actually self learn and re-calibrate themselves based upon how the driver drives the car for example how fast they change up gears, how aggressively they drive the car, what RPM they typically drive in within each gear, what speed they typically achieve in each gear etc.
The DSG remap upgrade is a great addition to an all r...eady impressive gearbox, the remap gives the driver back full control in manual/sport mode as well as enabling full use of the engines power range.
INCREASED SHIFT RESPONSE The shift response can be increased by up to 20% providing a smoother gear to gear transition, meaning a reduction of unnecessary clutch slip under full load acceleration protecting your clutch from premature failure. With the reduced shift times you will also benefit from improved paddle-reaction-time by up to 40% in Sport mode.
TORQUE LIMITER MODIFICATIONS The vehicle torque limiter/s are tuned as part of our ECU remap, however if your vehicle is equipped with DSG transmission then you could be missing out as the DSG control unit does have its own inbuilt torque limiters also. Through tuning the DSG control unit we are able to release the extra torque produced from your tuned engine whilst still ensuring the stability and capability of all mechanical moving hardware within the DSG transmission.
RPM LIMITER ADJUSTMENTS Here just like the torque limiter tuning as above your DSG has control of RPM limiters for each gear there would be no point to make adjustments the engine ecu RPM limiter without the same changes applied to the DSG maps.
Increasing these shift points will give the driver full control and command of the engines power in the upper RPM ranges and we will set the DSG rev limit to work with your engines current setup.
LAUNCH CONTROL Launch control can be activated in most cars but is particularly effective in DSG equipped vehicles.
A perfect launch can be achieved every time reducing 0-60 acceleration times by maintaining a perfect throttle balance to provide maximum traction off the line.

🔥🔥Sports Mode… We have many enquiries regarding how vehicles with “Sports Mode” will respond post remap.
Many people do not understand the concept of “Sports Mode” and think that it is an enhancement of the “Standard Mode”, when it is indeed in fact the opposite.
... i.e. “Sports Mode” is the default mode whereby the vehicle will achieve its quote maximum performance & torque (as quoted by the Manufacturer), and then all other Modes are essentially modified versions of this base map from factory to decrease performance/throttle response e.g. Eco mode etc.
The other modes in the vehicles ECU will essentially often work by referencing the base map, subsequently decreasing various parameters by a fixed percentage for example retarding spark advance on a Petrol car.

✅How Multi Map Works
Essentially the Multi Map works in a similar way to the general remapping processes by reading and writing through the vehicle diagnostic port (OBD). Multi Map also has the ability to check for any faults or DTC codes that may be present.
Each individual Multi Map unit can be programmed with a set number of protocols from a given manufacturer. Once the software is installed onto your computer you can select the vehicle group and the necessary protocols wi...ll automatically load onto the Multi Map device ready for use.
This allows a Black Code Technician to read the vehicle, save the read file and then to send via email to us at Black Code Head Office in the normal practise for re-mapping.
File Writing
Black Code Head Office will write the individual modified file(s) for the customers’ requirements. On completion the customer can change between which maps they wish to use on their Multi Map at any given time.
Multi Map holds the original ECU software, and tuning map file(s):
• Factory original • Maximum economy • Power and eco blend • Maximum power road • 1/4 mile • Track • Valet mode
The individual Multi Map unit will ONLY work on one vehicle at a time.

✅Manual Turbo Actuators…
The turbo actuator acts as a pressure relief valve that controls the boost output of your turbo, diverting excess exhaust gases away from the turbine wheel. This controls the speed of the turbine, preventing it from over-speeding, and regulating the speed of the compressor. Ultimately, this helps to protect the turbocharger from unnecessary wear and tear, by capping the maximum boost pressure of the turbo at a safe level.

✅Pops & Bangs/Burbles… We have had an increasing number of requests for Pops, Bangs and Crackle maps on Petrol vehicles.
🔥Pops and bangs are generated when an explosion echoes in the exhaust. This is either fuel touching the hot exhaust before exploding, or an explosion happening earlier in the system and reverberating through the exhaust. The most common way of achieving this is by retarding the ignition timing so the fuel/air mix ignites later in the engine’s cycle. If time...d correctly, the exhaust valve will be opening to allow gas, along with pops and bangs to escape. This is what most commonly gives you the effect.
🔥However, it is important to ensure you are aware of the potential consequences as if the vehicle is Stock with all of the catalytic converters present due to the way in which Pops & Bangs are achieved they will be detriment to the CATS and inevitably lead to premature failure (also the results of Pops & Bangs will be somewhat limited should the vehicle still be fitted with CATS).
