Sewing expert and designer, Pat Thompson, started Bonnie & Belle due to a lifelong passion for sewing along with a background in teaching. She offers alterations and restyling of clothing. Or for those of you who want to learn to do it yourself, she offers 121 or group sewing tuition.

Design. Create.
Pat has designed and created a wide variety of bespoke items based on individual needs - everything from wedding dresses to special occasion outfits to soft furnishings. Looking for something new, special, unique, quirky, or a new version of an old favourite? With a Masters in Fashion & Textiles, (specialising in the environmental responsibility of the designer coupled with bridal design) Pat can happily introduce a vintage or recycled element into any design. She’s always on the look-out for new inspiration, projects and enthusiastic clients! So do call or email her if you would like to chat through any ideas or queries.

Alter. Re-style.
Everything from bridal to vintage to daywear altered, re-styled, re-sized, repaired or upcycled to suit you perfectly. Expert alterations carried out on new items - or imaginative, resourceful reinventions of old, precious, damaged or outdated items. Please contact Pat to discuss your requirements.

Tutor.
Pat offers sewing tuition especially designed to meet your unique needs. She’s committed to helping people discover the resourcefulness, fun, fulfillment and delight in being fantastically creative. Please contact her for options and costs.

Having achieved a Post Graduate Certificate in Education in Home Economics from the University of Ulster, and a Masters in Design & Manufacture (Fashion and Textiles) from De Montfort University, Pat has facilitated textiles workshops for Queen’s University, Belfast City Council and Common Threads craft group. She has also provided successful 1: 1 tutoring for people of a wide range of ages and abilities, from GCSE and university students to those looking to renew their confidence in sewing skills.
