Great station in the middle of the city and serving the south of the country and the east side... As mentioned in other comments, it can be better with toilets and slight refurbishments to make it nicer to see...
No public toilets for when you're delayed and train station looks like it did when first constructed. Stuck in a time warp.
The staff here are friendly and helpful, also do a good job of keeping the place clean. Close to Botanic gardens, Ulster museum and Lagan towpath is within walking distance.
👍👍
I notice that according to the sign outside the station that it is Botanic Train Station rather than Botanic Railway Station [I wonder why … the same thing happening now happening in Dublin]
This year I used the public transport system in Belfast for the first time and I used the Botanic station a number of times. I also visited Great Victoria and Central an was more than pleased with the service.
The station is named after the nearby Belfast Botanic Gardens but it is not as near to the gardens as I had expected so be prepared for a bit of a walk.
On Mondays to Saturdays, there is a half-hourly service towards Belfast Central and Bangor, or Great Victoria Street and Portadown on Bangor/Portadown Line services, with extra trains at peak times.
Close to university. Be careful, tickets are frequently checked here on both entrance and exit.
Handy to get to Queens University from here
