Just got my bushcraft knife made by Davie at Broc knives, it arrived beautifully presented in a wooden box, with earthy smells of wood and leather and the finished product is more than I could have hoped for. Much credit due for their high level of mastery and dedication to craftsmanship, his tools will surely be a lifetime companion for you.

Just before Christmas I asked Davie to make me a forester knife. I knew nothing about Davie or BROC knives but I liked the look of his work and he was an Northern Irish lad trying to start something special with hand made knives with locally sourced woods for scales, competing against the myriad of uk and European knife makers.I had a number of high end bushcraft knives and I wanted something a little different. The other thing I wanted was a left handed sheath. Something that other knife makers surprisingly were not able to offer me despite the huge cost of their knives.



The whole process was totally inclusive and transparent. Davie facilitated my choice of scales, liners, etching and personalising the blade, matching the Colour stitching on the sheath to the liners on the knife. Each day he took me through the process with pictures and updates from grinding the bevels to heat treating the steal to stabilising the wooden scales. It was an education in itself.

The project got delayed when I asked for mosaic pins... No problem....... Davie sent me a list of suppliers , pick what I wanted and he would order. The end product was not only totally unique, I almost felt I had helped make it myself I had been so involved I the process.



It was hand delivered to me in Dublin by Davie, who was anxious to ensure I was totally happy with the the finished product. To be honest it exceeded all my expectations.

I have many quality knives, Julius Petterson, Steven wade Cox, Enzo,Wrights of Sheffield, and now BROC by Davie Crawford. It deserves to be up there with the best of them.

I recently had it with me for a week in arctic Sweden, and I have to say it never left my side, it performed faultlessly. It is such an integral part of bushcraft it can almost be taken for granted ...it is simply the most important piece of kit you need in my opinion.

There are lots of very good quality cheap bushcraft knives on the market, Mora kniv for example, and they're great if your starting off your journey in Bushcraft.....but if you want something a little special, something specific to you, a knife you can trust because you know how. , when , with what and by whom it was made, then BROC should be your first port of call. Superior craftsmanship at reasonable prices, for a knife that will last many generations.

I was lucky enough to commission a Horseman and a Lagom. After a long discussion with Davie to establish the options that he could do, my knives were ordered. 3 months later they were ready. Now to some people this may seem like a long time, But in the world of handmade custom knives this is quick, really quick.

When they arrived the packaging was outstanding and it just got better when I opened the boxes to find that each knife was packed in its own wooden case. The knifes them selfs are perfect, the fit and finish on them is amazing. And of course they are razor sharp. It doesn't end there Davie also makes the sheaths for his knife. They too are perfect, and they even smell gorgeous.
