Burrendale Hotel, Country Club & Spa

Cosiest pub I've been to in a while. Hotel staff were friendly. The spa facilities were modern, chic and relaxing. Planning a trip around Christmas 🎄

Lovely staff. Lovely rooms. Very clean and modern. Breakfast was beautiful and wide choice available.

The service was amazing and the views we're fantastic. Great to have a meal looking at the mountains of Mourne. Truly amazing place.

Lovely rooms in a scenic location with a nice view of the mournes from our room. Staff were excellent from the initial telephone enquiry right through to checkout. Breakfast was 1 of the best I've ever had in a hotel and our evening meal was lovely as well. The only reason I couldn't give 5 stars was that the pool was crowded out with kids when we went. We had our young daughter who was attended by us in the kids pool so I'm not ignorant about kids but the parents just let them swim across the paths of other swimmers without regards. This is really through little fault of the hotel and is more a reflection on the lazy parents. Would definitely consider staying again and would recommend it as a great spot if visiting the Newcastle area

Very nice hotel where we stopped for something to eat. Food was good and service was excellent despite it being very busy. Have not stayed in the hotel but there us excellent parking and nice views.

A really lovely hotel to relax in comfort and the service from the staff is second to none. I haven't used the country club yet but I hope to on my next visit to the hotel

Absolutely lovely place to stay and enjoy lovely food, a great array of breakfast food each morning. Nothing seems to be any bother to the staff, helpful, kind efficient. Rooms are spacious, well looked after, en-suite, tea/coffee making facilities, with small packs of biscuits, hairdryer, flat screen T/V if interested. Newspapers in dining area, if interested in reading one. Not too expensive for a two night mid-week break either. The hotel has it's own, spa and gym facilities etc in hotel too. A good all rounder, in my opinion.

Rooms I found were basic but clean ,facilities are good Gym and pool both great although the receptionists were not very welcoming and staff were not very friendly and looked depressed. . Sorry I don't enjoy giving negative reviews but for the money these small things are important for people who work in the leasure and tourist industry.
