Butchery Excellence International

Butchery Excellence International is an organisation that supports all butchers on the Island of Ireland. We offer memberships to butchers with several services; interim technical support, food labelling, food nutrition, HACCP& food marketing.

The Butchery Excellence Scheme was established in June 2014 by founder Rhonda Montgomery and it’s a sister company of Montgomery Food Consulting. It’s the first Butchery Excellence Scheme in Ireland, both North and South, and has been created to help butchers across the country keep on top of changes to legislation and the associated costs to implement changes. Developed by Food Consultant, Rhonda Montgomery, the Butchery Excellence Scheme currently has over 80 members.

The Butchery Excellence Scheme has and will save members money…that’s a fact! It’s estimated that savings of approximately £2, 000 / €2, 500 per year can be made for butchers as the Butchery Excellence Scheme offers the services that butchers require for less than a third of the normal costs.

The Scheme’s services include technical support services, business support and discounted rates with associate members. Members will also be provided with a Quality Management System to ensure high standards of food hygiene and traceability, and the Scheme will help members achieve and maintain the best scores on the hygiene ‘Scores on the Doors’ system.

The Butchery Excellence Scheme offers members support with HACCP audits and verification, food labelling audits, recipe reviews and recipe cards, food nutritional information for labels, information on regulation changes, access of to an Innovation Kitchen and business mentoring, guidance and advice.
