The Brethren of Yeats County...
Our latest title examines the Orange heritage of County Sligo! At least four Orange Halls and even as late as the 1880's there were 400 Sligo Orangemen. In 1912 a party of 100 men from two lodges in Sligo Town and Riverstown paraded In Portadown on Easter Monday and Belfast on Easter Tuesday!

C.V.F. - The Cavan Ulster Volunteers Cavan U.V.F. were one of the best armed and organised in Ulster. Commanded by the soon to be Commander of the 36th Ulster Division Oliver Nugent, he personally attempted to rebrand the local UVF into a police force style organisation- the CVF. His second in Command Lord Farnham was against the idea. Farnham was one of Ulsters biggest gun runners....
