So that is the Christmas dinners all ready to go out for the people of our community. We would also like to thank Pat Healy for the kind donation towards it this has enabled us to provide dessert thank you everyone and Merry Christmas.

Christmas is a time of giving and at Captain Jack's Portaferry we going to do things a little differently this year.
Santa Claus couldn't make it to the shop this visit all the little ones.
... So we are going to help the people in our community.
Do you know someone who might live alone or is In need we will making there Christmas that little bit better by offering them a free Christmas dinner on us.
Yes we will hand deliver them a Christmas dinner on us on Christmas eve just contact the shop give us the details and we will make sure they get a Christmas dinner.

went to captain jacks tonight and it was lovely just 2 off us . wat I liked about it the owner came over to every table and asked was everything ok and also I am gluten free and the chips were lovely and I also got chicken goujons . he also told me he is in the middle of making a new gf menu . all the sauces is also gf he also has other gf choices my hubby had fish which I could have had also

We visited several times over our fortnight holiday and each time the food was delicious and service was excellent. Brilliant that it’s a BYO and open during the week. Thoroughly recommend it!

Took the family out for lunch today and the food was outstanding steak lovers will really enjoy the steak and the burgers were great too the chicken stack with peppercorn sauce was lovely also and the kids pizza meal was enjoyed by my youngest and it is very reasonably priced I would highly recommend this venue �

Took mum & dad out today to captain Jack's they absolutely loved it the roast dinners were amazing and my chicken sizzler was yummy

Not your standard Chippy. Ate here last Sunday and chose the Sunday Specials menu which includes roast dinners. Food was home made, good portions, well priced. We arrived early evening and it was so busy there were a number of items sold out. That said, still plenty of choice, and food was lovely. Staff work very hard, polite and attentive. Even had a visit from the chef to check we enjoyed our meal.

Myself my cousin and my two daughters went to captain jacks on Sunday 16th Oct for Sunday lunch... Myself and my cousin had the roast beef dinner, and was absolutely gorgeous the nicest I have ever tasted and the gravy was beautiful also.. The kids one of which Is a 21 month old had a big bowl of mash gravy and veg, which she enjoyed and my older daughter 8 had pizza and chips and again enjoyed. I had a starter of prawn cocktail and it was delicious prawns where lovely and big and meaty.. Sauce was beautiful also.. We all had 2 drinks each and 2 chocolate fudge cakes to share with us all that was also beautiful couldn't fault a single tbing.. Beautifully cooked meal for a very very reasonable price £35 for all of us.. Bargain! Save yourself the hassle of dishes on a Sunday I would recommend this place 100%

Just been here today for my daughters birthday meal . She wanted pizza and normally they don’t turn on the ovens until later but they turned them on early for us � a lovely girl , Amanda served us and she was so friendly and really made it a very special dinner !! Service probably best iv ever had . The food was gorgeous too. Would highly recommend !!!

Had the most amazing meal after winning dinner here tonight � Amazing service best ever and food was beautiful! My pizza was as nice if not better than pizzas I have had in Italy � will definitely be back! Xxx

Had a delicious meal today, despite the restaurant being extremely busy we were treated excellent and found all the staff very accommodating. Also a very good range of food on the menu to suit everyone. Will definitely be back and highly recommending . Others to visit . Thank you all. �����CJS

Got food for my little boys birthday party today was great! Ready on time and everything was lovely made it very stress free. Thanks again captain jacks �

Four of us came here last Friday evening and we certainly weren't disappointed. Food was delicious, I had the steak pie with mash which was yummy & you get great portion sizes. Two others had steak and 1 had pizza which I also sampled lol Pizza was very nice with lots of topping on it. If you are ever near portaferry be sure to call in as I can't recommend it enough.

Food was amazing. Been a long time since I had chips so good. Staff couldn’t have been nicer. Will definitely be back soon

Food delicious, place spotless and cosy on a rainy day, very family friendly but the main positive is the friendliness of the staff. Our car broke down while we were there and they couldn’t have been more helpful - thank you so much.

Excellent food and service in the restaurant. Highly recommend the roast dinners, beef and turkey and ham cooked to perfection and Reasonably priced.

Best battered cod ive had in a very long time!! � cooked to perfection �

Been here a couple of times and the food is beautiful. Fathers day just topped it for me. The lamb just melted in my mouth and the raspberry sparkle cheesecake was one of the nicest cheesecakes I've ever tasted in my life. Definitely the place for good quality food at reasonable prices and bonus, i brought my own wine � will certainly be back time and time again x

A party of 7 adults and 1 child had a fantastic meal in here this evening the meal wasn’t beautiful and very filling and the service was fantastic and the staff was very friendly would recommend to anyone
