The Carmel McCafferty School of Drama offers classes to children aged 5 - 18. We run weekly sessions offering children the chance to experience drama as fun in a creative & safe environment. The School also enters pupils for Trinity Guildhall grade exams.

The Carmel McCafferty School of Drama offers classes to children aged 5 - 18. We run weekly Saturday sessions in the Verbal Arts Centre. Our classes explore theatre as fun; encouraging creativity, expression and teamwork within a safe and supportive environment.

Our school also offers pupils the chance to enter for grade examinations through Trinity Guildhall, London. Grade preparation classes take place on evenings during the week and are open to all. Students do not need to attend Saturday classes to take part in Grade classes.

We also offer one to one preparation for auditions and have successfully prepared candidates for several drama schools.

Classes are run by Carmel McCafferty, a professional actress who has appeared on stage throughout Ireland, New York, San Francisco and London as well as on television and in feature films. She is assisted by Muire McCallion BA (Hons) TCD, who has appeared onstage from a very early age. Muire has also worked in television and film. She is the facilitator in residence for Stage Beyond Theatre Company.

We also invite guest tutors to give pupils a deeper understanding of theatre techniques.
