What is a GENUINE Filter?? Some people think that genuine filters are made by the vehicle manufacturers! This, like most other service parts, is not true. Look at the following example: The pictures are genuine vauxhall filters for an Astra H. Note the manufacturers; Oil Filter made by MAHLE, Fuel filter made by WIX, and Air Filter made by MANN! All excellent quality brands that we supply at a reasonable price.

We have invested in the following genuine electronic parts catalogues (EPC's) to ensure correct fitment of parts. In most cases when we get your Registration Number, we input it to our system which brings up vehicle details and Chassis Number (VIN). We use that VIN Number by inserting it in the appropriate EPC which displays the parts specific to your vehicle. This in turn ensures we supply the correct part 1st time, taking the "guess-work" out of the equation. Particularly h...elpful for the VAG Group of vehicles (VW, Seat, Audi, Skoda), which are notoriously difficult to narrow down to 1 part number, especially filters and brake discs/pads. (There may be a rare occassion when the manufacturers EPC still gives multiple options but we will strive to work it out) As well as that we have our suppliers and other parts manufacturers catalogues that use Registration Number decoding software to highlight appropriate parts.

A quick run down on the Brake Manufacturers we supply. Being truly independent we can give customers an unbiased opinion and choice of pad, unlike most other Motor Factors. Our basic pad of choice would be Delphi or Juratek as a good mid-range pad and really well priced, or FERODO for something that bit better which is also comparatively well priced. TMD Friction is a huge manufacturer who make TEXTAR, Pagid & Mintex pads amongst others. In truth there should be no really bad brake pads being sold in the UK anymore, as, since 1999 under EU Law, all pads must meet the "ECE R90" standard which states that all brake pads sold must not deviate from the original by more than 15%.
