Burundi: Matana Diocese Ask for God’s blessing on the mission and practical ministry of the diocese. Bishop Seth has organised people to work together to build: “Each parish sends a group each month to help construct the new cathedral.” Pray for the success of this work.

A lovely blog by Roger Thompson from his recent visit to Kathmandu, in which he shares about a shared experience of both grief and hope that united God's people in Ireland and Nepal.

BURUNDI Please pray for a solution to the political crisis in Burundi. Talks held in Tanzania broke down due to a government boycott and there are fears there could be a return to violence. Elections are planned for 2020, but there is a need for representative peace talks.

RWANDA Pray for consistent and sufficient rains this year in Rwanda. It is becoming a major challenge during the rainy season for many Rwandans (97%), who are subsistence farmers and are reliant upon good steady rainfall to feed and maintain their families and livelihoods.

KENYA Ronnie and Maggie Briggs While Ronnie and Maggie are in Ireland, Rev Naftaly Lemooke will oversee their work in Kajiado. Pray for him that he may be able to deal with the extra workload and cope with whatever situation arises with their work, both in Oltiasika and Isinya.

KENYA Please pray for Ronnie and Maggie, who have returned to Ireland for further medical advice and recuperation. Give thanks for the house which has been provided and pray that this may be a place of relaxation and comfort as they have family around them for support.

KENYA: Ronnie and Maggie Briggs Following on from their bad road accident in October, Ronnie and Maggie want to give thanks that their injuries weren’t more serious and that nobody else was hurt. Please pray for all those who travel on rural and poorly maintained roads.

UGANDA: Luwero Diocese The diocese is organising another fundraising marathon in February. The proceeds will go towards the ongoing building project, which will be a source of income for the welfare of the retired church ministers. Pray that the planned venture will be a success.
