Tried this place tonight for the first time. Very pleased with cod supper and sausages. Dry and good sized portions. Will def be back 😀

Satisfying food but misleading prices

We were deciding on different places to have lunch for today and we decided to try out the Cod & Cow via a suggestion from a friend.

The food was prepared within 15 minutes as estimated by the Employee I spoke over the phone with, and we were given a grisly surprise of an extra £2.20 over the original prices listed on the menu. This was an extra 7% of the price we calculated, and the manager told us that the prices were not updated which forced us to fork more money. We were offered a compensation of chips, but this is a slap on the face on what we believe to be a deceptive practice.

If you are going to have a social presence in websites such as Facebook, please make sure that in the event that you update your prices, please make sure that you reflect these changes to any social media websites you use in the future. This brings consistency to your business and ensures that the customer is always given correct, accurate data.

I recently starting going to here and have made it my new local. Chips, sausages and fish as well as burgers are all exceptionaly well done. One hint of advice though, don’t get vinegar on the chips, as they have stuck to the paper more than once on me. :)
