There wasn't much of a break for the u18 academy players as they play their first preseason game against Larne this weekend. Great to see so many new faces as well as old ones returning. With alot of players from last years squad and a very strong u16s coming through, this year hold a lot of promise.

Unfortunately the U14s lost in their semi final game yesterday. The boys came up against a much physically bigger, and well drilled Strabane side who ended up the deserved winners. The boys gave their best effort, and losing 3 players within the first 15 minutes didn't help. For most of the second half Coleraine piled on the pressure and were held up on the line on 3 separate occasions, but a resolute Strabane defence held firm. It was during these periods of Coleraine pressu...re that Strabane scored a further 2 breakaway tries running the length of the pitch on both occasions. Alas it wasn't to be this time. The coaches would like to say how very proud they are of the entire squad for the way they have performed this year against teams who have been a full year older than them. A few pictures of the boys tour. The boys played two games.An U13 game on Friday evening and an U14 game on Saturday.On Saturday the team took in the Leinster Pro 14 match at the RDS. The touring party were magnificently hosted by Malahide RFC and all the coaches boys and parents would like to say a massive thank you for the hospitality they showed to everyone over the weekend.
