Community Advice Newry, Mourne & Down Description
About us
Our charity was founded in 1939. Since then, we’ve provided advice, information and support to anyone who needs it.
We help people online, over the phone and face-to-face through our network of local centres. Every year, millions of people turn to us. This gives us a unique insight into their needs and concerns.
We use this knowledge to campaign on big issues, both locally and nationally. So one way or another, we’re helping everyone – not just those we support directly.

Pension Credit is one the most unclaimed benefits. We see this so often in our office and is why we may ask about your income, savings etc. Our advisers provide a holistic approach to advice and try and find other entitlements. Contact us for a benefit check if you are pension age or look after parents or, grandparents who may be eligible.

We have no-one crying on the phone worrying about saving a few minutes getting across London, or to Birmingham. No, we talk to people worried about how they're going to feed their kids for breakfast.
