VOLUNTEERS WEEK
You may have been expecting us to post a colourful logo to let everyone know that this is Volunteers' Week (from the 1-7 June) and say how great we think they are (which they definitely are!).
This week alone, our volunteers have been tasked to search for members of our communities nearly every day/night, just as, sadly, they have been for far too often, since the beginning of the year.
... Last night CRS volunteers were deployed to two different searches, in the L/Derry and Belfast areas. Both were concluded positively.
Yesterday, our volunteers were deployed throughout the day and into the evening in the north Armagh area. This search will resume this morning.
These are just some examples of why the colourful logo wasn't posted at the start of the week. Our volunteers give to their communities their time from their own families and lives on a constant basis, and we say, just as we have said in previous years, to us every week is volunteers week!
