Good Afternoon everyone. Just confirmation for those asking who haven't seen our post from the other day. Our shops are closed now for the time being, but we are opening up production again on Monday for wholesale. Please see our previous post for a list of some of the places you can find our products. Also, although our shops are remaining closed for now we are are working on trying to open them up again soon. In addition, we are opening a collection service from the bakery in Greenbank Industrial Estate Newry. Again we must emphasize this is COLLECTION ONLY. Thank you all for your support, we look forward to seeing you all again.

We want to thank you all for the comments of support and well wishes following our announcement of our shop closures earlier this week. As promised, we are keeping you updated with developments around our intentions during the pandemic. The shops will remain closed for the next few weeks, all for the protection of our staff and their families. However, after talks with our bakery staff, we have managed to create measures to help protect them while also providing you all wit...h our products. Staff have understood that social distancing is one of the major concerns we have since it is continuously on their minds also. We have all worked together to suggest some inside measures and procedures to introduce in order to continue production. We must express our gratitude towards the staff for their amazing response at such a time as this. Therefore, to keep providing you with our food produce in a safe manner, we are going to do our best to provide what we can, mainly through wholesale, to some supermarkets we already work with. Since we cannot work every day as normal, we believe that taking away the pressure of providing our own shops will allow us to provide you all with fresh bread and cakes. In addition, from next week we are implementing a collection service outside our bakery at the Greenbank Industrial Estate. We must emphasise that this is a COLLECTION ONLY service in the interest of staff and the public health and safety. Please follow the governments COVID-19 guidelines and respect the measures we will have in place.
Should you wish to collect from the bakery, contact us on 02830260525 or email info@corndollyfoods.com before 4pm the DAY BEFORE collection. Please note the office is closed currently until Monday.
We are of course still very happy to produce any celebration cakes you may need, please contact us for information.
We have stopped production now for this week to make some inside changes, but we will be back next week. Thank you for your support and custom, we are very happy to find a way to keep providing for the community. We will of course keep you updated on any further developments as they happen.

It is with huge regret that we must announce the closure of our shops from tomorrow for the next few weeks. This has been done in the interest of protecting the health and well-being of our staff during this COVID-19 pandemic. We wish to express our sincerest apologies to you, the public, for any inconvenience which may be caused by this closure.
Please understand that we have not taken this decision lightly and have explored many possibilities. However, the risk of possibly... exposing this virus to our staff and their families is too great at this time even with the measures we have been taking.

After the Prime Minister's announcement, we have decided to continue remaining open for business.
We believe that the provision of the food we produce is a necessity for the public, and so we are continuing to supply supermarkets and our shops with products for the foreseeable future. There are already safety, health and hygiene measures which we have in place, they are highlighted in a previous post for you to view.
Please adhere to the governments advice and only venture ...out if it is absolutely necessary (for shopping, etc).
We are also trying to figure out a way to introduce a delivery system, with limited delivery range, to help support our elderly and vulnerable members of the community. More information on this will be released should we manage to work something out.
If you are able to venture out to our shops, please be patient with the measures we have in place. They are to protect you, the wider public and our staff, we appreciate your cooperation.
We would also like to remind everyone to remain calm throughout this process. It’s a tough situation for everyone, but keeping positive and watching your mental health is vital to getting through this.

Amidst the chaos we do have some good news to announce. Earlier in March we had been awarded the Best Bakery in County Down by the National Bakery Awards!😁
But it didn't end there, as we then attended the National Bakery Awards ceremony where we found out that we were also crowned the Regional winner for Northern Ireland!🎉
As always, we must credit this award to the hard-working staff in our bakery and our shops. They are crucial to our success, especially now during this time.😄

We just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the mothers out there who are doing their best during this trying time. Even if you can't celebrate them in the traditional gathering, we can all still communicate our appreciation for them.
