About Cromlyn House Veterinary Hospital And Clinic

Cromlyn House is a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Tier 3 Small Animal Hospital.

Cromlyn House Veterinary Hospital And Clinic Description

Cromlyn House is a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Tier 3 Small Animal
Hospital. To attain this status the practice underwent a rigorous examination
of our standards and we are proud to be one of only three RCVS Hospitals in
Northern Ireland. The hospital is a bright user-friendly building which houses
the most up-to-date equipment and technology for the diagnosis and treatment
of companion animals. Our in-house laboratory enables us to analyse blood,
urine and cytology samples accurately and quickly thus avoiding undue delay
and our diagnostic abilities are aided by sophisticated X-ray, ultrasound and
endoscopy equipment which enables us to ”look“ inside our patients.
Dedicated surgical and dental theatres are complemented by comfortable dog
and cat wards and round-the-clock nursing care by our team of RCVS registered
veterinary nurses.
All of our staff members are animal lovers and owners and fully appreciate the
worry and upset caused by illness or injury to a family pet.
We endeavour to provide the highest standard of care for our patients and to
treat them with dignity and respect at all times, to minimise stress and pain by
using modern sedation and analgesic drugs when appropriate and to keep
owners fully informed.

Are you thinking about taking your pet to Europe this summer?
Are you aware that the current pet passport rules might change from a 3 week minimum wait to a 3-4 month minimum wait if we end up with a no deal brexit? This is even for dogs currently vaccinated.
We strongly advise anyone who hasn’t spoken to us, but who is considering travelling to Europe in the future, to ring us ASAP to discuss options. Hopefully it’s a just in case scenario! #cromlynvets #petpassportscheme #brexit

We had a very photogenic bunch of inpatients last night with Tigger, stray Taz and Emma #cromlynvets #thisiscvs

Emma is having as nice a Sunday afternoon as you can have in hospital with RVN Joanna keeping a close eye on her #cromlynvets #whatvndo

Tigger, Taz, Tilly and Emma ( nearly got a full House of t’s! ) were warm and cosy in our 24/7 hospital overnight.
We were busy busy with emergencies last night - but rest assured we provide constant emergency care from our own vets in Hillsborough for our clients. You will always see a Cromlyn House vet and rest assured our building is staffed all night every night so your pet is never left alone . #24/7 #cromlynvets

We recently had Sarah working with us as part of her veterinary training - we’re not sure if her artistic talents might be wasted in the vet world! What a fabulous cake she made! We wish Sarah all the best in her future studies! #cromlynvets #vetstudents

Taz is waiting patiently for his new home to come - could you be his new home? #cromlynvets #thisiscvs

Reminder of our Lisburn clinic opening hours for our clients - we are available from 9.30 until 7pm for routine appointments in our Hillsborough hospital and 24/7 in Hillsborough for emergencies. #cromlynvets #thisiscvs

Stray Taz was waiting patiently this morning to hear if any home offers were going to come through? #stray #cromlynvets

User

This is Taz. Taz came into us as a stray a few weeks ago with some nasty head wounds likely from an abscess and some ear trouble. His head wounds are healing well, he has had some dental work and his ears treated and he is ready to find a new home! We think he is middle aged and he may need ear treatment again later in life for ear polyps. He seems friendly and litter trained in the cattery.... Could you open your heart to this lovely fellow? If so please send us a Facebook message initially outlining where you live, any other pets and if you are near a main road? We welcome previous applicants for Bob to get back in touch also! #cromlynvets #thisiscvs #strays

Who says that pets don’t like visiting vets? Well StreetVet’s patients are always so pleased to see them! This is Gypsy, one of StreetVet Bristol’s regular visitors, having some cuddle time with StreetVet Alix; don’t you just love an over-excited Staffy?! Did you know there is a Steetvets in Belfast and that one of our own vets goes out to help ensure dogs don't go without essential vet care?
We’d love for our clients to help us to support StreetVet’s work across the UK. Please visit their website to make a donation and help to provide veterinary care for dogs like Gypsy. www.streetvet.co.uk

We had to take our much loved wee dog to the vet on Easter Saturday knowing he was really sick and unlikely to get better. The vet and nurse were amazing, not only with Lucky, but with us. The four of us were able to stay with him when he passed away. It's still difficult for us without him but you all made this horrible time so much easier. Thank you all so much.

User

Very friendly staff, always have a smile on their face, very welcoming to all clients new and old. My dog Meeko, although she doesn't like going to the vets (previous experience being rather negative) they always aim to make her relaxed before doing anything with her. Her confidence with vets has come on leaps and bounds since coming here

User

Took my pug Lily in Due to a very scary Seizure, things didnt look good they done everything they could and in just a few days shes slowly but surely starting to recover. The vets are amazing and explain everything in detail and keep you informed. The nurses are amazing too and look after your dog like its there own pet and have a real way with them making them comfortable. Can't recommend this vets enough. Some other vets would of just recommended to put her to sleep but this practice didnt give up. Cant thank them enough

Staff go above and beyond to help! My wee puppy was recently not well and he had to be kept in a couple of days for tests etc. Mr Hefferon was brilliant in helping Teddy get the medication etc that he needs. The reception staff were so patient and understanding with our constant phone calls asking how he was. Each time we bring Teddy up for a recheck Teddy is so excited to see some of the staff showing that he was obviously treated well during his stay. Thank you!!

User

Leo and family, want to say another big Thank You, as we greatly appreciated all the excellent care he received by all the team, vets and nurses at Cromlyn House Veterinary Hospital and Clinic, during his hospital stay in May. We appreciated their Support, Excellent Professional Care, Leo received and his continued tailored treatments, for his heart condition

Katherine spayed our dalmatian Kia she is a super vet who has time and patience with her as do all the staff. Nurse Gillian was fantastic when we arrived on the morning of her op and put us at ease and we felt happy leaving our we woman in there care the aftercar was good and if there's ever a problem any time day or night there is always someone available to give you advice or see you whatever is needed. The Pet Health Plan is great it covers your pets vaccines and flea and tick and worming treatments and health check for a small monthly payment. Can recommend this practice 100%.

If it wasn't for all the wonderful vets at Hillsborough, our Poppy wouldn't be here today. They saved her life twice in 6 weeks and all staff went over and beyond to look after her, while she was so ill. The daily pictures were also great to see her, as she was in for a few days. Thanks again guys x

User

I would like to thank all the staff for looking after our beautiful Rommel over the past week, I feel he was nurtured and loved by everyone here and I was able to spend heaps of time with my boy before he sadly passed away yesterday morning. I feel everything was very dignified for both Rommel and his family, he had lots of visitors in his last few days, we all loved him so much and always will. Thanks to everybody for trying your best to get those wee legs working again, just wasn't to be

User

I would like to thank all the staff at Cromlyn House for the most professional, helpful and pleasant manner that they showed when treating our much loved cat Tink. They went out of their way to keep her happy during her three night stay and made sure she was kept stress free during her treatment for kidney disease. She is now a Facebook star. Special thanks to Jane the vet who kept us informed daily as to her progress. Prior to taking Tink to Cromlyn House we thought she might not recover. Whatever the outcome we are assured that she is getting the best care and treatment available.

User

I had to rush my cat to cromlyn house during out of hours as she had fallen into engine oil. From the minute the vet answered the phone I knew my cat would be in great hands. I was able to take her immediately to the surgery in Hillsborough, where she was cared for so well. I wish I had got the name of the veterinary nurse who put me at ease immediately (panicked was an understatement), she was so great! Even though Fran is hating life with the buster collar on.... I think she loves you guys for helping her in her hour of need.

I can't say enough wonderful things about all the staff at Cromlyn House.

We had a very sick little Shih Tzu over the weekend with a nasty bout of gastroenteritis. Within one night of being cared for at Cromlyn, Coco was back home.

The care and attention you provided to my little fur baby was second to none. We are so glad to have found a wonderful vet who Coco feels happy with. Thanks must go to Animal Connexions too who got the appointment and everything else sorted.

Thank you so much for the updates and her little pictures posted on your page. It really put my mind at ease.

I am very happy to report that we have a super active, happy and well puppy now. She is full of energy, taking her medicine and is eating really well.

You guys rock! Keep up your amazing work. Lots of slobbery kisses from Coco too. Xox

I called Cromlyn House on Sunday, afterhours. Never used them before and they booked my wee Tess in as soon as they took the call. I dealt with Eimear, who looked Tess over completely and it was obvious Tess was in good hands. My issues were heard and addressed and Tess received first class treatment. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Eimear at Cromlyn house. Thanks for your help. J&T

Had my 14 month old pup neutered recently and, as a first time pet owner, I was far more nervous than he was (but only because he didn't know what was ahead, lol). When we arrived at the hospital in Hillsborough, the receptionist came round and gave him a big cuddle before even starting the paperwork, which was simply lovely. The veterinary nurse was great, talked it all through with me in detail and off my pup went, wagging his tail. I collected him later on and again, a really thorough chat was given so that I felt confident of what to do and what to look out for. He's been seen twice since by Emer and Jane and overall it's been such a positive experience. Can't recommend this place enough. Thank you, everyone.
