CrossFit is taking NI by storm so it's about time the people of Fermanagh and Enniskillen were given the chance to change their lives for the better.

Crossfit Enniskillen Description

There are 4-5 classes Mon-Fri and 1 class on Saturday's at 9am. . Earliest weekly class is at 6. 30am and latest class is 6. 15pm.

Classes last 1 hour.

Membership options range from £30 per month to £65 per month.

One of the best mornings we’ve ever had at CFE. Humbled by everyone’s donations both inside and outside of our wee gym. Delighted to say we raised a whopping £2,300 👌
We know that this money will go towards so many great things that’ll bring a smile to so many well deserved families faces and that makes all of our members efforts in the row so very much worth it 😀🙏

Meet Michael.
Michael mixes a very busy family life and a high demanding job (that’s what he tells us anyway) yet still manages to get into 2-3 classes per week. He’s been with us now at CFE for coming up 3 years and the gym wouldn’t be the same without him.
A few facts about Michael:
... 1) Michael thinks he’s the best dressed member at CFE but little does he know that some of the outfits he wears I wouldn’t answer the phone wearing them 😜
2) Michael has won the award for loudest member mid workout for the past 2 years. If you have yet to experience his vocal antics mid workout then it really is something special. Oscars have been given out for less 😂

We’re excited to release our new Monthly Recipe Book to all of our members at CFE 😀
Every month our members will receive 30 new healthy meals each with the ingredients required, cooking instructions and Macros per portion (if you’re into that sort of thing).
Now that January is over and the healthy eating resolutions have likely ended already we wanted to offer something to our members to give them some inspiration in the kitchen to keep them motivated.

When CFE opened its doors 5 years ago we had no idea what to expect. We were the first (and still the only) CrossFit gym in Fermanagh and didn’t know if CrossFit would ever take off. We started slow and gradually built over the years.
What we have now after 5 years is a community of people who are the most supportive, encouraging and hard working bunch we could ever have wished for.
This morning was one of the best atmospheres we have had in CFE. The effort by every one of o...ur members who took part throughout the row knowing that we were doing it not just for ourselves but for something much greater was one of the proudest moments I have had since opening CFE.
We would like to thank everyone who has donated so far either from within our gym or outwith. We are humbled to say that we have raised over £2,000 so far for Ellie’s Retreat.
A massive thanks to Ciara and Billy for dropping in. We hope you were made welcome and we were honoured to do this in memory of Ellie and for your amazing charity.

With CFE celebrating its 5 year anniversary this week we thought we’d do something a bit crazy 😳
So this Saturday over 50 CFE members will be taking part in a Team Marathon Row. Teams of 3 and 4 will aim to complete 42,195m on a Concept 2 Erg. A feat that’ll take around 3+ hours 😬
We will be raising money for one of the best local charities Ellie’s Retreat. If you don’t know what this awesome charity does then please click the link below to see their FB page. If you are ever ...considering doing an event and wish to raise funds then please give them some thought.

Meet Sylvia 😀
Sylvia has been coming to CFE for nearly 2 years now (there was a wee break in the middle but she’s full steam ahead again 😜)
After a recent Goal Setting meeting with one of our Coaching staff, Sylvia’s main goals for this year are to improve her shoulder flexibility and work towards achieving strict pull ups.
... A realistic Goal setting plan was created working around the classes she currently attends and how much spare time she has to work on her goals. A programme with both shoulder flexibility exercises and strict pull up progressions was issued to her so she knows exactly what she needs to work on.
Regular check ins by our Coaching staff will keep Sylvia motivated to stick to the programme and smash her goals for this year.

How are you going to relax this weekend?
Another hectic week is over and we only have a couple of days of R&R before the chaos begins again.
In terms of training, our members push their bodies hard during the week and in order to maintain that week in week out then some much needed rest and recovery is required so they can perform to their best when in the gym.
... Here’s a few ideas to unload some stress this weekend and have you raring to go for the new week ahead (we particularly love Number 16. Spend some time with your pet 🐕😍😀)

Life’s not a sprint.
It’s natural to want something straight away but in the fitness game it’s not that simple.
Take pull ups for example. A goal for many of our members is to achieve an unassisted strict pull up. A process needs to be followed though allowing foundational strength to be developed over time.
... The Ring Row is a great alternative when we do pull ups in workouts but it’s also a brilliant drill to practice as part of a separate program that we offer to members who wish to work towards a strict pull up one day. Ring Rows can be made as easy or as difficult as you wish depending on your ability.

It’s a given that the more you perform and practise something the better you’ll be at it. However, for exercise it’s not always about more more more in order to reach your peak potential.
“The right amount of exercise, at the right intensity, and the right time: We train. We learn. We get healthier and stronger.
... Too much exercise, with too high an intensity, too often: We strain. We stress. We shut down. And break down.”
Be very careful you’re not overshooting the “sweet spot for success”

Perspective on Motivation and Training....
When was the last time you were genuinely motivated to brush your teeth?
Yet you do it every single day, two to three times per day. You do it because you understand the longterm health implications if you don’t.
... Then why do you base your training & fitness regime off the feelings of 'being motivated'? Because in reality, the health implications of a life without fitness is far, far greater than that of not brushing your teeth.
Just a thought to consider next time you 'dont feel motivated to train' or maybe in the morning when you’re brushing your teeth 😬
