The HIFU Experience!



I’ve been going to Claire since she moved her business to Lisburn and love the Cryotherapy facials. So, when I discovered she was offering this new HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) treatment, I thought I’d give it a go. It appealed to me as its non-invasive and there’s no downtime. Also, I’m not wanting to look ten years younger but just wanted to look a fresher, brighter and not so tired version of me. I decided to have both my face and neck treated.



When I arrived, Claire completed a short medical form with me and then I relaxed on the heated bed, which was glorious, especially on a snowy winters morning! Claire cleansed my face and then turned artist as she drew lines all over my face and neck, which was weirdly relaxing. These lines ensure that Claire doesn’t hit any nerves whilst completing the treatment.



Preparation complete, Claire then applied a gel to the first area being treated, the right side of my forehead. The gel is incredibly cold but not unpleasant. Then treatment began. Claire is very good at explaining what she is doing, keeping you informed throughout and also checking that you feel ok. I found the feeling of the treatment varied, depending on the area, but it was never painful. The most I felt was similar to small electrical currents pinging off my face. Once Claire completed my forehead she moved on to my face and then finally my neck. It was so relaxing at times I found myself dozing off until Claire spoke to me again or I felt a little ping!



When the treatment was finished, Claire cleansed my face again and finished with a lovely face cream. The full treatment took 90 minutes to complete. I was a bit pink on my neck and the lower part of my cheeks, but this faded quickly i.e. within hours rather than days. So, no real downtime, which is an added bonus and any pink tones can be easily covered with your usual make-up.



After treatment my skin felt fresh and tight but not sore or uncomfortable. It will be approximately two weeks before I should start to see some improvements and 180 days, 7th August, before I see the full and final effect! However, one week in and I can definitely notice a difference in my skin. It feels much smoother and already looks brighter with make-up gliding on and staying on, so very happy with that.



HIFU was an ideal treatment for me as I didn’t want to have to consider Botox or fillers, preferring a more natural look.



Claire is lovely to deal with and makes you feel very comfortable from the beginning. I can definitely recommend both Claire and this treatment.

I have had the pleasure of having 3 different treatments from Claire, first I had cryo to the tummy and was thrilled with 18" off in total in 6 treatments, then I had 6 treatments of cryo to the face again I was delighted with results, skin was better and lifted just in time for my wedding. Went for treatment today on my legs..I suffer real bad from circulations problems and even though I train and compete in still have problems with the skin texture and blood flow to this area.. so wow skin feels great and have to say my leg recovery from training has improved greatly from this treatment. The HIFU Experience!



I’ve been going to Claire since she moved her business to Lisburn and love the Cryotherapy facials. So, when I discovered she was offering this new HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) treatment, I thought I’d give it a go. It appealed to me as its non-invasive and there’s no downtime. Also, I’m not wanting to look ten years younger but just wanted to look a fresher, brighter and not so tired version of me. I decided to have both my face and neck treated.



When I arrived, Claire completed a short medical form with me and then I relaxed on the heated bed, which was glorious, especially on a snowy winters morning! Claire cleansed my face and then turned artist as she drew lines all over my face and neck, which was weirdly relaxing. These lines ensure that Claire doesn’t hit any nerves whilst completing the treatment.



Preparation complete, Claire then applied a gel to the first area being treated, the right side of my forehead. The gel is incredibly cold but not unpleasant. Then treatment began. Claire is very good at explaining what she is doing, keeping you informed throughout and also checking that you feel ok. I found the feeling of the treatment varied, depending on the area, but it was never painful. The most I felt was similar to small electrical currents pinging off my face. Once Claire completed my forehead she moved on to my face and then finally my neck. It was so relaxing at times I found myself dozing off until Claire spoke to me again or I felt a little ping!



When the treatment was finished, Claire cleansed my face again and finished with a lovely face cream. The full treatment took 90 minutes to complete. I was a bit pink on my neck and the lower part of my cheeks, but this faded quickly i.e. within hours rather than days. So, no real downtime, which is an added bonus and any pink tones can be easily covered with your usual make-up.



After treatment my skin felt fresh and tight but not sore or uncomfortable. It will be approximately two weeks before I should start to see some improvements and 180 days, 7th August, before I see the full and final effect! However, one week in and I can definitely notice a difference in my skin. It feels much smoother and already looks brighter with make-up gliding on and staying on, so very happy with that.



HIFU was an ideal treatment for me as I didn’t want to have to consider Botox or fillers, preferring a more natural look.



Claire is lovely to deal with and makes you feel very comfortable from the beginning. I can definitely recommend both Claire and this treatment.

Just had the new HiFu facial with the lovely Claire and it was great. I was unsure what to expect, I thought it might be painful, but on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst, I gave it a 3-4, forehead being the most discomfort.

I’ve been having regular cryotherapy with Claire for over a year now, mostly for training injuries, but I have experienced the other treatments as well. I saw a before and after photo on fb and decided to contact Claire for more info. I had loosely thought of botox but never took the plunge as I didn't like the thought of needles and toxins in my skin (wimp that in am) many of my friends have it done and they look fab � In December I went for 1 cryo facial called frotox to check it out. I have had the pleasure of having 3 different treatments from Claire, first I had cryo to the tummy and was thrilled with 18" off in total in 6 treatments, then I had 6 treatments of cryo to the face again I was delighted with results, skin was better and lifted just in time for my wedding. Finally just before the wedding I had a bee venom facial while not totally unpleasant it was definitely stingy even for about 24hrs after treatment. I also had some little sting marks and some dry skin but this only lasted a few days, my skin was smooth and radiant.
