*Event Cancelled - Summer Fayre at C.S. Lewis Square*
It is with great misfortune that we have made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrows event at the C.S. Lewis Square, following advice and a risk assessment due to a forecast of heavy rain and wind.
We do not make decisions like this lightly but the health and safety of our staff/ volunteers, event providers/ traders and audiences is paramount.
... We love nothing more than bringing animation and activity to the Greenway and are very disappointed to do so.
All is not bad news however as we have an exciting programme of events and activities coming up in the next few weeks which will be released this week...
We apologise for the inconvenience and hope you have an enjoyable Bank Holiday weekend.

User

WOW...Narnia...the sculptures are outa this world and should be on ebveryones to see list

User

The Chronicles of Narnia is one of my all time favorite books. We stumbled upon the square and the only thing that would have made it better was a gift shop of some sort with a variety of souvenirs to purchase.

User

Lovely for a quick stop and the restaurant look good though we didn't try it.

User

Love this place. A real asset to East Belfast. Great wee cafe too.

User

I went in the twilight hours. Spectacular just as the sun was setting.

User

I thought the characters were very well portrayed and really bring to life an area which seemed very run down for a long time

User

I never knew this place existed till was out with walking group. Was amazed when saw it. Should be advertised more. A lot of people are unaware it exists.

User

Great place to enjoy cup of tea or coffee, always enjoing with small child. Nice place for play and have many benches to seat. And atmosphere with sculptures from Chronicles of Narnia, my favourite movie, is amazing ! And also have free public parking good place for all family members

User

Eastside is an amazing experience and I would highly recommend a visit.

User

CS Lewis Square is absolutely fantastic! I worked at the Summer Blast event on Friday and it really was great to see the people of East Belfast come out and enjoy everything that the Square had to offer! Especially because it was youth led which is something that our young people should be very proud of!

User

C.S. Lewis Square is a wonderful celebration of Narnia and its author. Wonderfully crafted sculptures in a thoughtfully laid out public space. A great place to hang out!

User

Best addition to East Belfast in my Life time. Whats a space!

Ideal for events , community engagement and an will be a hub of activity in no time. I love the layout as it caters for my favourite outdoor sport too! Good job to all involved who saw this project to completion!

As a lifelong fan of Belfast-born author C. S. Lewis I was keen to visit this square, which is dedicated to his memory and Chronicles of Narnia novels. It adds interest to Belfast and is fascinating to stroll through. The square is filled with bronze sculptures by Irish artist Maurice Harron, all of which are characters from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, and all are beautifully impressive. As a public space it's well utilised by people walking, skateboarding and cycling - I even spotted a skateboarding bulldog! East Belfast Visitor Centre is located there too and contains a gift shop, cafe and art gallery - free trail maps are available from the Centre. Plus there's a Belfast Bike Hire Station on site for those who would rather cycle than walk - however the square itself is quite small and only takes 5 minutes to walk around. Impressive revitalisation and use of public space.

User

An amazing place. One of the most important sites in Belfast. Sculptures are fantastic, straight out of the book. Great for children and adults.

User

Amazing public space, with both outdoor event spaces and fantastic Narnia themed sculpture collection. Take any of the beautiful walking and cycling routes from here to city centre, Titanic Belfast, Comber town or Cregagh Glen

User

A lovely, wide open space for skating, cycling or just enjoying!

Jacks cafe opens out to in with lovely picnic tables.

A massive bonus for the area.

User

Nice wee park , the sculptures are excellent & tea room nice and handy
