**ATTENTION IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT**
I know that communications from us have been rather thin on the ground during the past few weeks. There are a number of reasons for this quiet spell. Firstly, I was trying to settle in to Ellie May's, but unfortunately it did not suit the style or branding of Daniel's food.
Secondly, and simultaneously, I have taken some time to reflect on my own personal ambitions and career direction. What I have deduced from both experiences during the ...past few and rather reflective number of weeks is that my absolute passion lies in providing food excellence in the familiar surrounds of the kitchen.
An opportunity has arisen - one that I cannot afford to miss - which will allow me to focus entirely on my love of food and food creativity. While this opportunity will result in a second move, I believe it is a move in the right direction and a step which fills me with all the motivation and hunger required when spending some seventy hours per week in the intense environment of the kitchen.
I will announce more as soon as I am in a position to, but what I can tell you for now is that the 'Daniel's' brand will continue in the next month and that exciting times, which are far more suited to my style of cooking, will continue too.

We would like to thank you for bearing with us and for waiting so patiently for us to make a formal announcement on the exciting changes happening to Daniel's restaurant. The time has finally come to let you know where we are moving to, so we are delighted to announce that we will be relocating to Ellie May's, Dunadry!
Under the management of Ray Magill, a former chef himself, Daniel will join forces to offer his usual 'C...asual Dining' and 'Bar menu' experience at Ellie May's and take on the responsibility of manning the kitchen, both upstairs and downstairs.
Ray Magill has extensive experience in the hospitality sector and has a strong sense of business acumen, with a clear direction for where the new partnership is heading. Combine his industry know-how with Daniel's award winning 'Taste of Ulster' cooking and we hope you'll agree that this is partnership to be applauded.
Recently renovated, Ellie May's offers an upstairs dining area packed with character and space and a more relaxed family-centric bar downstairs, not to mention an abundance of convenient parking.
As with any new venture, we hope you will bear with us as we make some necessary changes - all of which are designed with you in mind. We cannot thank you enough for your patience, loyalty and for taking the time to make your wonderful comments, which we hold dearly.

COMING SOON!!!

Morning everyone, over the course of the weekend we will be making an announcement regarding the plans to re-open Daniel's restaurant, which will begin to trade next week. Some of you will have heard, as the news is spreading like wildfire! Can we ask that you don't spoil the fun, though, for the majority who haven't heard? We'd be really grateful if, as always, you could continue work with us. We can't to see you!

Went today with my partner and our kids. Great wee place, food was well presented and absolutely gorgeous. Service was great and kids eat free on a Sunday. Totally recommend.

We had a lovely meal last night. It was my first visit but I'll be back! Due to my phobia about being on time we arrived early and benefitted from the pre-theatre menu which was unbelievable value. Steak was really tasty. Lovely atmosphere and decor. A return visit is due very soon.

The food was the best quality i've ever had and was cooked and presented in a flawless manner. With all things considered the price of are three course meal was extremely justified and ultimately a very reasonable bill to pay.



We as a party of three had waited only a few minutes for are starter then only 5-10 minutes for our main, this was during an already busy and flowing service. All the staff showed great hospitableness and were an absolute delight, right from the kitchen staff to the front of the house staff.



I highly recomend this establishment to anybody as it is truly a remarkable and moor-ish food eating experiance. I already can't wait untill my next trip

Never new this place existed until I read a wee article in the newtownabbey times. Had our lunch there today, excellent. For me it was perfect, my husband likes is food white hot, so he would have loved the plate to be warm. Chicken was beautiful and we shared a cheese board, which was yum yum. Overall, very impressed so will be back on Sunday for my birthday 😀😀

My friends and I called in for lunch yesterday, we all had the salted chilli chicken. Food was wonderful, unfortunately we were too full for dessert!

Lovely meal at Daniel's at Tweedies this evening! This was our first visit and having read mixed reviews we weren't sure what to expect! We were pleasantly surprised! Friendly, welcoming, helpful staff, nice atmosphere and delicious food! We were prepared to go for the 3 course option but we were so full up after 2 courses we couldn't eat anymore!! Great service, great value and fab food!

Just love this place...cannot fault it..restaurant ambience is perfect...service is excellent...and most importantly...the food and menu are superb...and on my doorstep too!!...I highly recommend..have eaten here twice in past week...excited..

Just had amamazing meal with my hubby at Daniels - beef cheeks were amazing the pork was to die for and service excellent. Looking forward to a return visit soon.

Just back from Steak night at Daniel's at Tweedies, have to say it was the best steak I've ever ate and the pudding was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back now!!

Had a fantastic meal on Sunday 19th with family.........my steak was bloomin well gorgeous along with everything from the veg to the muscles starter .........the staff are amazing... �

First time eating in Daniels at Tweedies and it definitely won't be my last.

Only ordered the main course and was pleasantly surprised to be given a complementary taster of Chicken Liver Parfait as a starter!

Service by Lauren was friendly and efficient.

Food and presentation, just as expected from Daniel and his team! "Mouthwatering".

You can see from his attention to detail on your plate that he is a Michelin Star trained chef.

In my opinion it's great value for money, and you won't go home hungry.

It's also great to be able to see through to the kitchen and watch the chefs at work plating up!

Highly recommended.

First time at Daniels today for Sunday lunch and have to say I was really impressed. The menu was something different to the norm, all three courses were lovely and we were really well looked after by the staff. Will definitely be back again!

Fantastic night at the Tasting Night tonight, amazing food and attentive, thoughtful and informative service ... The young guy Lloyd serving even remembered that one of our party had a shellfish allergy from a previous visit ... Impressive indeed. Well done to Daniel and staff, absolutely excellent in every respect, couldn't recommend it too highly, thank you!

Enjoyed a very tasty meal in this lovely restaurant. Relaxing surroundings with a fabulous big sofa in the bar area to sit and chat over coffee. I will be back for definite to sample more of the food on menu.

Called in on Sunday and had an amazing meal. No seasoning needed , the meal came to the table perfect I truly can't wait to return and try more delights off the menu. Thank you to the waiting staff too , they gave us a great welcome and smiled from start to finish. Very polite well mannered. I'll be surprised if anyone finds fault in this place. We made our first visit for our anniversary meal. Staff were pleasant and extremely helpful. Atmosphere welcoming and comfortable. The food was excellent, scallops juicy and seared, mash with main meal gorgeously creamy yet light. We will definitely be back.

Had a meal in Daniels on Friday night starter was good salted chilli chicken,although it could of been warmer my friends had soup and another had the beetroot salad, we all had the traditional turkey dinner which was nice apart from the Brussel sprouts which were very hard,we all had dessert which was good , Two things I didn't like was that they forgot To bring the child's dinner and we were half way threw ours by the time it arrived, and when it did come we had to wait ten minutes for it to cool down not a happy three year old , the other thing I noticed was that not one of the chefs wore a hat and Daniel himself kept running his hands threw his hair quite a lot. Very of putting ,especially when handling food.

Called in yesterday and had a great meal! Salted chilli chicken is amazing! Beef cheeks were excellent and the poached rhubarb to die for! Only criticism that main was served on a cold plate so the wonderful gravy with the beef cheeks went cold immediately! A hot plate would have made such a difference! Staff very friendly and helpful. In the main a very enjoyable meal and the buy starter and main and get free desert (Mon - Fri lunch) is wonderful value for money!
