Thank you for your email. Please be rest assured that FSB has been concerned about this also for some time, and have met with the Government frequently to raise our concerns about changing the arrangement for the self-employed.
... We were surprised and disappointed by the announcement last week, but today the Chancellor made a major U-turn and confirmed he would not raise national insurance contributions, not just this year but throughout this parliament.
This decision has come from the hard work of all of us, and showed just how powerful a voice FSB can be to Government. Thank you for your efforts.
