We would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to the pupils of Beechlawn School who have been raising money to adopt Alfie and Benjy and presented us with a cheque today! 👏😁

User

What an amazing place, we were greeted by Jayne and given a tour round to see the facilities and how the children benefit from the interaction with the donkeys in the school. We then went through to the Donkey yard to meet them. They are so well treated and cared for. We sponsor Benjy, and it was so lovely to see them all. An excellent Sanctuary and we will continue to give our support - so glad we flew from the UK to visit

User

Went up for a visit today and it is out of this world such a lovely place and lovely staff thank you for our tour around

User

We called by the sanctuary the other day for a visit and had a fuss with the donks such a lovely peaceful place. Had a chat with the lady for a while thank you.

User

Very interesting visit. Lovely play area for children outside and a lovely warm area inside for tea/coffee. Nothing was too much bother for Janet - our tour guide. Highly recommend and looking forward to visiting again

My son and daughter in law bought me sponsorship of Benjy last Christmas and today was the first time I got down to visit. I really enjoyed my visit. We were met by a lovely member of staff who showed us round. The facilities are first class and seeing the lovely donkeys was the highlight. I have now sponsored Alfie as well. I will be back some time as i had a great time. Thank you for all the amazing work you do.

User

My partener and i have come over to Belfast from Leeds. I could not come all this way and not have my donkey fix. Your place is amazing. Yourstaff are very welcoming. Its a lovley centre you have. More importantly your donkeys are georgious. A really big thank you to Emma who very kindly showed us around and got us a cuppa. Thank you all so much.

User

My daughter gave me Alfie as my foster donkey Christmas 2016 and just went to Belfast to meet him.

I was impressed by the farm and the warmth and care

From

The staff. The work they do is very noble and no better

Animals to work with than their adorable donkeys!

User

My brother adopted benjy for my bday in March I was able to visit today with my triplets (one who has additional needs), hubby and mum. We were amazed - the sanctuary is gorgeous and so much more than we expected!

The kids had a great time playing (there's even a sensory room!) while we had a cuppa and they brought benjy and Alfie (his best friend) into the arena. We'd a great time watching them and having the occasional stroke when the donkeys were comfy enough . Of course, I ended up adopting Alfie too

Can't wait to go back, such lovely staff and VERY child friendly! Loved it.

Last year i visit northern-ireland for a study time, i had found the donkey sanctury Belfast, but i had no time to visit this place.

I have adopt a donkey last year and for a couple of hours i´ve send a new adoption for a new year to the Sanctury.

The post was so lovely, all the letters and pictures from the donkeys are so sweet - next year i will visit this playe and cuddle my new adopt donkey.

lovley regards from me to the donkeys and the team ;)

User

If you love Donkeys you can't help but love this place and admire the amazing work they do. Definitely worth a visit it's a beautiful place.

User

I absolutely adored this place! The staff were so attentive, helpful and friendly! The work they do for children is truly honourable and needs more recognition! Not to mention the fabulous 19 donkeys who loved the attention and were so gentle, I couldn’t leave without adopting one for a year (Alfie) and getting a few things from the gift shop! I will definitely be back and recommending this charity to everyone!

User

Had my son and granddaughter up to see the donkeys on Friday afternoon. Had a great time love, love, loved the donkeys! Cutest wee things

Can't believe I never knew about this place before! Will be a regular from now On!

User

Great wee hidden gem that I didn't know it existed until recently when I visited with work. I was so impressed with it I brought my children to see the donkeys and play around with the equipment. Staff are more than helpful & very friendly too. Highly recommended by me 👍🏼😊

User

Fabulous facility! Janet was so helpful and the donkeys are gorgeous. My older son has autism and this place is so well suited to him. Very safe and sensory spaces inside and out. The fact that it’s on a flight path helps too, as he loves planes!! Loads to do for children and the donkeys are obviously so well cared for. More opening hours in the summer months would be great but intend to become a regular here!

Donkey Experience on Saturday 3rd February 2018.

Oh my goodness what a day!

I thought I might get close to the Donkeys and maybe be able to give them a wee stroke, but to me delight it was much more than this. The whole two hours was hands on with the Donkeys!

I was asked to choose the Donkey I would like to work with, which I felt was impossible as they were all adorable, but he chose me with a nod of his head in my direction, the very handsome and beautiful Kenneth.

After some time, lead reigning Kenneth around the arena, some pole work included, Kenneth would snuggle his head into my chest! Oh my goodness, we bonded, so soon too! I couldn't believe it!

Then out the back in the yard, mingling with all of the Donkeys, every single one of them intelligent and absolutely adorable, helping prepare their dinner too.

Thank You to all of the Donkeys and of course to the Staff too, who were all very helpful, for a fantastic day at the Donkey Sanctuary Belfast.

Couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. Learned a lot about the therapy work the centre does and my children (ages 7& 10) were able to ask lots of questions & once we had been shown round we were free to spend as much time as we wanted petting the donkeys. Tea and coffee was on offer and the kids were given lots of activity sheets. The gift shop was small ( thankfully) but had a lovely selection of gifts. My daughter was gifted adoption of Benji for her last 2 birthdays and this was our first visit (we live in Scotland) & she was not disappointed and can't wait to come back.

User
