Super to see father and son team Jerry and Davy Russell enjoying a winner with us yesterday. Thanks for making the trip all the way from “Youghal By The Sea”.

Tough Base gives Gordon Elliott Racing a nice double by winning our 6th race. This time for jockey Mark Walsh.

Touchedbyanangel loves it here at Downpatrick as he wins again. He won at our last meeting here in June. Congratulations to Andy Oliver Racing And Jockey Andrew Lynch.

Aasleagh Dawn gives Ger Fox and Gavin Cromwell a quick double in a very exciting finish.

Youghal By The Sea wins our 2nd race for Gordon Elliott Racing ridden by Davy Russell and owned by his father Jerry.

Politicial Policy takes our opener for trainer Gavin Cromwell and jockey Ger Fox.

What a lovely morning here at Downpatrick Racecourse ahead of today’s Family Fun Raceday where CHILDREN UNDER 16 ENJOY FREE ADMISSION. We have lots of kids activities going on throughout the day- Bouncy Castles, Falconry Displays, Children’s Discos, Llama Walk, Climbing Wall, Animal Farm, Dog Agility and Trialstar Motorbike Displays to name a few. Turnstiles open at 12 noon with Kids Mini Steeplechase’s on the racetrack and much much more ahead of our first (Horse) Race at 3.05pm. Get here early as the first 800 children will receive a free goodie bag. General admission can be purchased at the turnstiles - Adults £10. Students / OAPs £8 ( with valid ID).

The race course is coming on leaps and bounds because management and staff have worked very hard to upgrade these facilities introducing new events and catering to everyone's needs. Well done Richard and his team keep it up and look forward to each race day

On my door step. A wonderful race track with a great heritage. The new management have taken this course to a new level but have no intention of resting on their laurels. Plans to extend the track, modification to the steep hills, etc. are all in the next 5 year plan, I am led to believe. Great news and a credit to all involved. Happy racing.

My best friend and I were here for the st Patrick's coast endurance ride yesterday. The highlight of our day was galloping our horses up the track, what an amazing experience!! The grounds themselves are fantastic, we will definitely be back for a day at the races.

I went to a autotest last night at Downpatrick racecourse and I really enjoyed it I would give it 10 out of 10

Had a really good day at the races. Thre weather and atmosphere was great. First time having afternoon tea there and would have it again. We all enjoyed our day and would go back again.

Great day out yesterday I won nothing but the place is well organised the food was great and staff and security were all fantastic.was there as part of Ulster carpets for a race they sponsored.
