Downshire Arms Hotel Ltd

I was in the down shire a couple of weeks ago with a large party of 16 people, my uncle who is in a wheelchair was with is and my grandmother who is bad on her feet. The staff looked after us extremely well helping us used the lifts upstairs and down and at no stage did we ever feel like we were a burden to them. The service to follow was to boot, staff were very attentive and the food was also very good. I would recommend the Down shire for special occasions and large parties.

Good food nice rooms with Friday and Saturday night entertainment

Really good pub grub. Reasonably priced and staff are nice. Its a little slow even when its not that bust. Kitchen could be sped up. Also dont understand why you pay at reception for food. People could be robbing you blind and its not convenient for customers. I wanna pay at the table

I recently visited for a famity meal with my in laws and my 2 very young children who were to say the least very grumpy. Staff went out of there way to help and cheer the little grumpy people up. Food was more than expected and defiantly worth it. Even though the room we were in was very small and not the best for two under 4''s I would recommend and think most should at least try as you won't be disappointed. Good job guys keep up the good work (and food).

Th beef and chicken burger was delicious. Service was quick and polite.

The starter was a chowder. It was a generous portion. The main course was salt chilli and beef burger. All food was delicious and the staff were more than friendly
