Christmas, while happy and magical for most, can be a difficult time for others- those who have been recently bereaved, those who are lonely or apart from their family, or who suffer from depression. Remember you can always talk to the Samaritans, you are never alone.

Anxiety can have a major impact on your life. While we are all anxious at times eg before a test, for some anxiety can be all-consuming and need not be triggered by external events. Help is available. Take that first step and find out more about the condition.

How many children do you know like this?! Do you know that persistence is the key- offering children a morsel of vegetables they don't "like" on 5-10 occasions if an infant/ toddler, or up to 15 times if your child is age 3-4 seems to be the trick to getting your child to love their veg. Get in early with different veg when weaning as it is easier if your child is under 18 months. As parents we are just not persistent enough. Perhaps we don't like vegetables ourselves and expect our children to be the same. The health benefits of eating vegetables are huge throughout life, so worth persisting!
