Whilst the play park here is amazing the grounds and walks are very unkept. Some places are overgrown. However the kids still love it.

Stayed on here last year. Lovely scenery lovely forest park great for dog walks. The caravan site is nicely laid out only 1 downfall thats my reason for 1 star less its the electric output its only 6amp we had to use our gas kettle as we dont have a low voltage kettle its just a normal househild one therefore at 220 output so to high for this site although we never have any bother usung it on any other site. The forest ranger said they have a tender in to increase it to 10amp which will be a great improvement.

This is a great place for walkers, dogs, cyclists and joggers or just to tire out the kids, the views are lovely with several ruins to look at, a large duck pond and a shy but pleasant butterfly garden, there is a large kids play park with climbing frames however the litter inside the play area and around the forest and carpark is a disgrace, overflowing bins, and larges pills of rubbish built up in the middle of the carpark attracting hoards of wasps... Parking is £4 per car

Stayed here for Cookstown 100 road races.very basic campsite. Toilets and showers where clean but old, could do with renovation. No toilet roll early Saturday morning (about 6). Hard to find a flat level site , even for my small hike tent. Throw in poor drainage and the only place suitable a tractor had driven across it. Was like sleeping on corrugated iron.Way to expensive for what you get.

The best place to walk your dogs as they do not have to be on a leash except in the camping area.

This forest used to be an stately home that is now a ruin with the inside of the old house turned into a garden. From the ruin house you can see one of the lakes that has swans and ducks in it. There is a pay and display machine (£5) at the entrance to the two large carparks and there's a large modern play park for children which is well fenced. The toilets are clean with hot water and soap. There's a large caravan park with electric hookup but the shower block is a bit basic with the odd creep crawly. Hot showers, dish washing sinks but no Landry machines. Well lit at night. Cost about £14 of peak. There are many gravel paths throughout the forest which have no steep hills but some of the outer ones can get a bit muddy.

Great forest Park with some lovely walks. Pity the tower is no long opened. I used to love going up there when I was a kid.
