... 3. If you do have a 1000kcal meal at ur grans you enjoy it and adjust the rest of ur day to suit without being rude/stressing like a maniac/crying like a baby/ or being OFF it because ur ŌĆ£dietŌĆØ is ruined.
4. ThereŌĆÖs more to life than just YOUR diet in reality nobody really cares if ur on it or off it for the 40th time and the time with ur family is far more valuable. Your Gran wonŌĆÖt be around forever so stop letting ur self absorbed self take that for granted....

TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY
This week we have a transformation that we are especially proud of to share with you.
Douglas Dickson has lost an awesome two stone in roughly the last four months! His pictures show just how incredibly hard he has been working and how it's been paying off.
... Once again Douglas is shining example of just how effective working with one of the Dual Fitness groups can be.
He credits his success partly to interaction with the group as well as the education Dual Fitness offered him regarding his nutrition. Douglas has been converted to tracking his diet properly and the results speak for themselves.

STOP OVER COMPLICATING IT!!!
When it comes to building a solid house, the first thing you do is get your foundations right. Your body, and how you approach your diet, should be no different.
At the root of everything we do at Dual Fitness, there is one basic fundamental truth - mastering calorie intake is the most important thing!
... Too many people complicate things in the fitness industry. They dabble with over complex diets and supplements before they've even tackled the root problem.
Ask yourself this: What is going to get you better results, the Creatine your pouring your money in to or sorting your diet out? What use are supplements really if you're only eating right 5 days in every 7?
Take a look at the attached image. This is the nutritional pyramid and shows the importance of your dietary elements.
CALORIE INTAKE - The base of all good dieting plans. Should be where the majority of your time and energy is focused.
MACRONUTRIENTS - The second level of importantance. Getting your protein, carbs and fat intake correct.
MICRONUTRIENTS - Next up, ensure you're getting all of the vitamins you need.
MEAL TIMING - Investigating when you should be eating and how often.
SUPPLEMENTS- The smallest part of the pyramid. Right at the very top and should only be considered when everything else is cemented.
Ideally we want to be getting everything in the pyramid spot on. However, jumping ahead to the next level, paying attention to bits higher up when we haven't got the bottom sorted, might mean you're wasting your time.

My other half and I joined late last year and didn't really know what to expect. A few months later and we really can't rate this place highly enough. It's awesome. We would recommend to anyone, at a great price too. Drew and Lorraine know exactly what they are doing. They give advice and guidance on technique which helps massively in achieving your goals. (Ten times better than all those commercialised gyms out there.) The equipment and all the classes are great. The members all seem friendly too. The workouts are tough, but they manage to make it fun at the same time (Except the burpees). ’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į

Joined the gym just over a year ago and been best decision IŌĆÖve ever made for my training. After years of inconsistency with my weight and fitness this is by far and the way the longest IŌĆÖve ever stuck at regular training. A great friendly welcoming atmosphere, full of likeminded people all working hard to improve their health and fitness and achieve their goals. Focus is on long term sustainable goals rather than short term fixes. If you are frustrated with how you are feeling then you absolutely must give this gym a try

I took part in the 28 day challenge and after much initial apprehension ( being a newbie ) Drew and Lorraine made me feel at ease and very welcome. My results have been great and I have decided to continue my journey at DuaL Fitness. I'll be recommending you to friends and family.

I met Lorraine and Drew over 5 yrs when I thought I was at my peak fitness level having completed my 1st marathon. How wrong was I?

I have learned more than i thought was possible about health, fitness and nutrition. And I feel stronger than I have ever done. I used to fear the Gym completely. Now I love it !

I joined DuaL Fitness coming on 6 months now and it is the best decision i have made for myself. Drew and Lorraine are very helpful and always ensure you are doing everything correctly and to the best of your ability. I have been a member at 2 other gyms before this and never seen any improvement but now with the correct guidance from the both of them i am seeing a big difference in myself. I have struggled for a long time to find the courage to join a gym where I could learn to lift, get stronger and become much fitter. I have found it! Not only was everyone so welcoming when I walked through the door for the very first time they were so helpful and encouraging. I tend to join and leave gyms due to feeling uncomfortable and not really knowing what IŌĆÖm doing with the equipment but at Dual fitness I am under the guidance of 2 fab personal trainers. I have some health issue's which means there are certain excercise's that I'm unable to do, however I'm always given alternatives by Drew and Lorraine and I'm never made to feel inadequate or a burden. I love the classes, they are full of banter and everyone is lovely. I love the fact that there are so many different abilities and age groups all working together. You guys totally rock ’┐Į

Good selection of classes available as well, although I've not been to any as yet, everyone I've seen coming out the studio afterwards is tired, sweaty but thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the years that i trained with Dualfitness. I learned so much and pushed myself in ways i never thought i could. The members are all so lovely and the gym is fully equipped with an excellent range. It trully is a brilliant place to train.

I joined dual fitness about 5wks ago. From day one I was made very welcome, everyone is so friendly and helpful!! It's always a bit nerve racking starting something new, but not in this case i was soon at ease and felt part of the team!!

The group training is second to none two fantastic coaches Lorraine and drew who definitely push you and get you out your comfort zone ’┐Į... Looking forward to the sweaty wks ahead!!!’┐Į’┐Į

I joined DuaL Fitness coming on 6 months now and it is the best decision i have made for myself. Drew and Lorraine are very helpful and always ensure you are doing everything correctly and to the best of your ability. I have been a member at 2 other gyms before this and never seen any improvement but now with the correct guidance from the both of them i am seeing a big difference in myself. Anyone on this page considering joining i could not recommend it enough.

I have struggled for a long time to find the courage to join a gym where I could learn to lift, get stronger and become much fitter. I have found it! Not only was everyone so welcoming when I walked through the door for the very first time they were so helpful and encouraging. I tend to join and leave gyms due to feeling uncomfortable and not really knowing what IŌĆÖm doing with the equipment but at Dual fitness I am under the guidance of 2 fab personal trainers. IŌĆÖm excited for my dual journey as I know IŌĆÖm going to achieve my goals working with Lorraine and Drew which is something IŌĆÖve never managed before. I have recently joined the gym and classes. I have some health issue's which means there are certain excercise's that I'm unable to do, however I'm always given alternatives by Drew and Lorraine and I'm never made to feel inadequate or a burden. I love the classes, they are full of banter and everyone is lovely. I love the fact that there are so many different abilities and age groups all working together. You guys totally rock ’┐Į

I have been involved in the group training for well over a year now and a gym member for a couple of years, I would highly recommend it for anyone who needs that extra help and push to get results. The gym is well run by Drew and Lorraine who will help and guide you with all things fitness, strength, fat loss and nutrition. The equipment in the gym is excellent and there is always a great buzz about the place especially during the group training where everyone helps each other get through it. So if your looking for a well run local gym then this is the place for you.

I have a new found love for the gym, Lorraine and Drew have both gave me the confidence to go In and use weights like I never would have before. I love the atmosphere and the new friends I have acquired. I love the classes too, body pump is my favourite. ’┐Į’┐Į

Honestly the only gym that I've ever been to and felt completely comfortable training without feeling like all eyes are on me because I'm not a tank or very fit (after all that's why the gyms there!)



Everyone is so friendly and willing to give u any advise that you need! I have always been made to feel welcome in this gym and both Drew and Lorraine are very encouraging.



The classes are amazing and the PT is always challenging but you are kept highly motivated.

Brilliant wee gym with a great friendly atmosphere. Drew & Lorraine are always on hand to give out guidance, tips & motivation, along with providing monthly challenges on the board for all members. Good selection of classes available as well, although I've not been to any as yet, everyone I've seen coming out the studio afterwards is tired, sweaty but thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend it!!

Brilliant gym with a great range of classes and excellent coaching from Drew and Lorraine. Well equipped weights and cardio rooms and members very friendly. Can highly recommend it!
