About Dungannon Park

Mid Ulster District Council

Dungannon Park Description

Dungannon Park is a touring park, which rests in the midst of a 70-acre parkland. Surrounding an idyllic stillwater lake, the site is located in the Heartland of Ulster, less than a mile from the motorway and is perfectly positioned for the visitor who wants to explore Ulster from a central base. The park has 24 fully serviced hard standing pitches, some with lake views and there is also ample space provided for tents. The site has an excellent range of facilities incorporating a mixed coarse /game fishery, café and gift shop, tennis courts, football & cricket pitches, a children’s play area and barbeque site while walkers can enjoy the miles of interesting pathways that circumscribe the parkland, which from high ground have splendid viewpoints of Dungannon Town and the surrounding countryside. The modern visitor amenity caters for an extensive range of needs with splendid sanitary (disabled included) facilities and washing /laundry amenities onsite. A warm welcome awaits you at Dungannon Park with friendly staff at your service to ensure your break is a pleasant one.

Dungannon Park has now reopened with the cafe also open for business.

User

Update - the Park will remained closed today due to yesterday's storm damage while we attend to downed trees and overhead snags. We will review the situation later today and continue to post updates here. Thanks to everyone for your patience.

User

Due to warnings around #StormAli and risks to safety from falling branches or trees, all Council public parks, woodlands and mountain bike trails, including Dungannon Park will all be closed today.
We will review the sites tomorrow and plan to re-open then.

We're blushing! Top marks for #DungannonPark from Mrs C. on the Mrs C's Early Years Education forum NI :
"I’ve walked the figure 8 around the park hundreds of times now and I’ve never bored of it, it’s stunning and each time I walk the lake I always stop to take in the beautiful view. I often say to mine as we go round that no matter where they travel, this place is hard to beat for its beauty."

#tbt now that all the children are back at school, the summer seems a distant memory! Last month's #PicnicInThePark was a super end to the holidays.

User

It's #BackToSchool for most of us this week, but what about #ForestSchool? If you're interested in finding out more about this concept and how your school or group can take part, then watch this video and join us to find out more on 29th September!

User

We've packed up our #PicnicInThePark basket for another year and what an afternoon it was - plenty of music, fun and smiles!

User

It’s Bob and er, Bob from Babcock and Bobbins with slapstick comedy and circus skills aplenty that are really entertaining our picnic goers. On the main stage to 2.45pm, and then drawing #PicnicInThePark to a close from 4.15pm – 5pm.

User

Fancy learning to hula?! Free workshops all afternoon at #PicnicInThePark

Just love this beautiful park with its walks around its lake and football pitches. Love watching the ducks and fish being fed by children. The wee coffee shop is lovely with snacks and a choice of ice creams being served. The toilets, shower block and laundry rooms are well equipped and very clean. The caravan parks are mint with plenty of room. The staff at Dungannon Park are very friendly and helpful. Love this wee spot. Oh and the kids are well catered for with a lovely play park too.
