We held our Men's Dinner last night and welcomed Members and their Guests. We were very delighted to have Liam Beckett MBE as our Guest Speaker who entertained everyone with his hilarious personal recollections from his time as a footballer, motorcycling mechanic to Robert and Joey Dunlop and broadcaster.
We also welcomed dear friends from Lisburn Golf Club, Dundalk Golf Club, Hermitage Golf Club and representatives from GUI Ulster Branch.
Our new Club Captain Noel Magill welcomed everyone to the Dinner and Andy Sproule was our MC. We would like to thank our office, catering and bar staff for making the Men's Dinner so memorable. Role on next year.

We have had a great Christmas at the Club with Members and Guests enjoying some great Xmas cheer at our Party Nights. Our Ladies also enjoyed a festive Shotgun Competition and we held our Christmas Draw in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Many Thanks to all who donated prizes. Some of the winners received their prizes last Saturday. There is a list of all the Prize Winners in the Club.

Well done and well played to Gary Mehaffy who scored a super 35 points over 12 holes to win The Poppy Trophy. The event had been cancelled because of bad weather in November but we had a great entry last Saturday to support the Royal British Legion

Well done to Lady Captain Patricia Brennan and our Ladies Section who raised £2434 for Helping Hand RBHSC Charity which supports children and families in the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. A fantastic effort. Well done Ladies. Patricia is pictured with Nigel Kearney from the Charity

We had a fine occasion of great music and afternoon tea attended by 80 lady members. They enjoyed the scrumptious food and delightful music provided by a classical harpist.

Men's Prize Night The finale of the 2019 Dunmurry Golf Club Men's Competition Season recognised the achievements of the club’s most successful golfers. Mr Captain, Ian Berry, presented the prizes at a very fine evening of celebration. The standard of golf was excellent this year we are all looking forward to next year's competitions.

As the season comes to a close we marked a great year with our Ladies Prizegiving Evening held in the club last Friday. As you can see everyone was in great spirits. Roll on next year!!

Our Ulster Senior's Team put up a great fight but unfortunately drew 3.5/3.5 away to Newtownstewart Golf Club but lost 4-3 at home in the final of the Competition. Congratulations to the team squad for a great campaign and to President Dessie Houston for captaining the side. The guy's are looking forward to next years campaign.
