Helping your child to develop a Growth Mindset is key to unlocking their full potential. Every child is capable of growth in their education. As adults we must always encourage our children to believe in themselves. Mistakes provide huge learning opportunities and children should never be afraid of taking risks because they might fail. Getting something wrong helps children learn more about the right answer! Even teachers make mistakes! Transforming children's thinking can transform their potential.

With all the budget cuts in the school system unfortunately the Learning Support is the first hit. Schools face unbelievable pressures to educate more children with difficulties with reduced budgets every year all while out MLS’s and MP’s sit collecting their wages and expenses for 2 years which could be diverted to help ease the financial pressures not just in education but throughout the health service as well.

Don’t forget to check out Nessy Learning for spelling strategies to support your child/children’s learning. Here’s one I used yesterday to support a child based upon apostrophes.

Now the children are heading back to school look out for possible signs of dyslexia. As children progress up the school these signs may be noticed more.
