Anthony Toner returns to EastSide Sessions for a special show on Friday 31st May as part of celebrations for his new album Our Lady of the Wind and Rain.
The album - Anthony's ninth collection of original songs - has been attracting strong airplay and acclaim and he's selling out shows across Northern Ireland as part of his spring tour.
As always, expect an intimate, up-close concert featuring songs from the new album as well as a smattering of songs from Anthony's back catal...ogue, including 'Sailortown', 'Well Well Well', 'East of Louise', 'An Alphabet' and many more.
Be sure to book early - Anthony's last gig at EastSide Visitor Centre sold out weeks in advance.

Tomorrow in EastSide Gallery join Beat Carnival for a FREE prop making workshop ahead of the St Patrick's Day Carnival Parade

User

We've done a couple of events at EVC, always very helpful and accommodating. A lovely venue to run a gig or workshop in, or simply chill, and some tea, revel in a bit of local history and artwork, and look out onto CS Lewis Square (where, if you're fortunate, you might see a skateboarding dog!).

We went to the visitor centre when we first arrived in Belfast, met with Peter who made us so welcome and talked about the history and places to see. Peter had a walking tour that we joined, this was great!!! Had many a coffee and chat, bought some cd’s and art, we felt so at home. Great staff and food! Can’t wait to come back to East Belfast, thanks so much. Deb and Carmel - Australia

User

We have been here many times, but today it was most welcome & needed following a walking tour with Jason Burke. So it is Easter Monday, it is Spring but it is cold, windy & rainy, between the 2 of us we really enjoyed bowls of sweet potato & tomato soup, toasted sandwich, sausage roll, coffee, traybake & German biscuit. Really good...delish. What really made our visit was Luis from Brazil - a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day x

User

We had a very good experience today, the people there are very warm and helpfull in any way they can, the probided info was very good and so is the way they talk about the area and it's people. Thanks Jim! Regards Marcel and my dad. (The Netherlands)

User

Visited the centre twice over the weekend, great coffee and cake for the first time, excellent lunch on the second visit, great friendly staff who went above and beyond to offer a varied lunch menu...lots of interesting East Belfast memorabilia for sale...will be back to visit again soon.

User

Very friendly staff. I go in before work and lunch time at least twice a week. I would love some more variety ie salads but understand you haven’t got a massive kitchen!

Love this place well done and good luck with this venture

User

Very friendly place, with good food and great atmosphere! I keep on coming back as I totally love the staff members and the place itself.

PS. Louis thank you for all your brilliant work and chats that we have!

User

Lovely staff and a great atmosphere. A fab new addition to east Belfast with lots of events and activities taking place within the centre and on C.S. Lewis Square. Love the avo toast with egg and the caramel squares!

User

Lovely place! I had a delicious sandwich in a very comfortable seat upstairs. Perfect spot to enjoy a nice lunch with the partner. Staff members were really friendly and helpful, thanks Luis for making us feel like at home. I highly recommend this place!

User

Lovely little modern cafe with great food and friendly staff. There are often great music events & talks in the venues upstairs as well.

User

I visited on the open mic night - amazing atmosphere, doors and windows open to C.S. Lewis square with a few low flying planes on the way to George Best city airport, great performances and a great team managing access to cakes and drinks 👌

User

I called in yesterday with my Mum and 3 yr old Grandson and was very impressed. The food was lovely, a very interesting place to walk around and the staff very friendly, especially Luis who was very attentive to my little Grandson.

User

Good little spot to know about for coffee or a light lunch. I've called in on a couple of Sundays (you can park at the health centre and walk over) for a toasted sandwich, and there are various traybakes, cakes and treats. They make a good hot chocolate. Only complaint was the service was a bit disorganized when I called a couple of months ago, but Luis was very friendly and efficient to-day. Will be back.

User

Excellent venue. Really impressed by the tours given by Peter McCabe and Nigel Henderson, both of whom I understand have just published books.

User

Brilliant coffee love it loads will be back again ASAP and nice wee cosy relaxing shop I always feel chilled and relaxed sitting in with the amazing mocha

User

Apart from everything thing else this place offers and represents, it was a perfect venue for a fabulous evening of music, poetry and craic with the incredible Anthony Toner, on Friday, 27 April!! Wonderful night! Congratulations to all involved. X

User

Always a great time. The food and drinks are amazing and the staff set this place apart from anywhere else.

User

Went for coffee and scones....Scones were gorgeous, but lack of tray bakes. Staff were polite and attentive, although were a bit taken back when asked to bring the coffees, etc up the stairs. Building and ambience made up for it!

User

Great spot with great staff...when they become vegan friendly (which they are going to be in future) i'll give them 5*....recommend...:)
