About Enniskillen Rnli

Enniskillen is the first RNLI inland station to operate in Northern Ireland and the second inland lifeboat station to open.

Enniskillen Rnli Description

Enniskillen is the first RNLI inland station to operate in Northern Ireland and the second inland lifeboat station to open. With inland waterways being increasingly used for pleasure, the RNLI has evolved its service to include selected inland waterways. The large stretch of water being covered extends across 50 square miles over two loughs which attract a high level of leisure activity including fishing, sailing, canoeing and over-the-water flying.

The RNLI's running costs average around £335, 000 (€500, 700) a day. For every £1 raised, 85p is spent on operations and 15p is spent on generating income.
