HORSE HAIR COLLECTION AND PREPARATION
The horse hair can be taken from the horse in a number of ways.
Hold each hair at the bottom and pull out with a strong tug
Cut from the underside of the tail where it wont be noticed
Collect hair each time you brush the tail!
In order for me to successfully braid or weave the hair I need to have a minimum of 10” lengths of tail hair of approximately a thumbs thickness for each item required. If you have less than this or are unsure then contact me to discuss what can be done.
If possible please wash the hair prior to sending it but DO NOT use any conditioning shampoo or conditioners /detanglers, normal shampoo or washing up liquid is fine.
Tie the bundle of hair to prevent it separating and label with your details and horses name.
When the hair is braided it is done in exactly the state that it is sent to me (bar washing) – it is not treated or dyed in anyway, so may even still have some of your horses smell on it!
MORE THAN ONE HORSE
If you would like an item making from the hair from more than one horse then there is no problem with this. Make sure the hair bundles are easily identifiable and seperated to avoid confusion.

With the move away from paper cheques, it is now possible to pay by PayPal or direct bank transfer. Cash can also be sent with hair signed for delivery at the customers own risk
