Workshop to develop knowledge of Growth Mindset thinking and practical activities to develop effective praise skills to support children.

Wow what a fantastic work shop. We recently had the mini medics team visit our school to give training to all our infants. Each session was tailored to the age of the children and was thoroughly enjoyed by both the children and the staff. Katie and her team are very professional and I would highly recommend to anyone. Thanks for a great time xx

Took my granddaughter to Heene Community Centre in Worthing this evening for her mini medics course. She was so excited as we have to play Doctors on a regular basis (nannies house). Well the staff were absolutely lovely from the moment we entered the room, so happy and welcoming with a wealth of knowledge to pass on to the children. The topics included so much information, but all at a level that was appropriate for the ages of the children 7-10 yrs. My granddaughter learned so much and was enthralled by the enthusiasm of Katie, Steph and Katherine. So professional, would highly recommend the course 5 star *****.



Conversation in the car on the way home.... " Nannie do Doctors get paid?" ..... my reply: "Yes of course my love, why?".........."I think I would like to be one" ��.

So Katie started tutoring my son last Summer. He had changed schools from a secondary to grammar and was struggling with maths. Oran built an excellent rapport with Katie very quickly. He responded to her teaching methods and found that he was learning maths in a more fun way which made it more understandable. He found that he was able to use her tips in his classroom - which included his maths teacher!!! Grades very quickly went from D to A.

As a result our daughter who is in P6 commenced tutoring in September. There are squeals of laughter in our house on Friday evenings. BD is mindful of doing "Katie's Work" during the week. Has used Katie's tips for tables on her friends. Learning is a new kind of fun and she is relishing in it.

My son came to your mini medics class today, he absolutely loved it and came away with great knowledge. All the staff were amazing with the children and got stuck in and down to the children’s level. I was also elated that when booking I had mentioned my sons cows milk protein allergy and that they had got him Dairy free biscuit for his snack this was definitely a big thing for both of us as he is usually left out and I carry my own. Well done !!!

My daughter attended tutor sessions with Katie for her transfer test this year and has enjoyed every minute, she had fun in the classes whilst learning An her confidence grew incredibly An she was working at a very high level, katie helped bring this confidence out by encouraging her An by teaching her in an understandable way she has gone from strength to strength and I believe this will stand by her for her future years in secondary school. I would definitely recommend Katie to anyone.

My daughter (age 3) cane along to the Ore Community Centre Course today and had a great time learning about Road Safety, First Aid and What To Do In An Emergency - all the staff were kind, gentle with the children and aware of individual needs and ways of learning. The session was well planned out and designed for young ones with shorter attention spans!! My daughter loved the Teddy Bears Hospital session most, putting plasters all over her cuddly bunny! Thank you for a great morning helping to teach our little ones some of the most important safety lessons in being a helpful, kind, caring young person when others (or yourself) are in need of help ������

My 2 kids (age 3 & 5) have just finished 6 weeks of mini mindfulness with Anna, she was brilliant with them . They really enjoyed going each week, the classes were fun and interesting for them & we learned some great techniques to build on at home. Would definitely recommend.

My 15 yr old son had lost his confidence in Maths but since being tutored by Katie the difference is super. He looks forward to his sessions. Katie is very down to earth and encouraging she has has given him little prompt cards and methods to uncomplicated formulas in a fun way. Katie is always punctual and clearly passionate about her job i cannot recommend her highly enough. I am just relieved we found her in time before my sons maths gcse.

Katie thanks so much for all your help with Seanagh, she has enjoyed all of the classes with you and has came along massively your a star... we will defo be back xx

The change in him has been fantastic to watch - at the start his confidence was worryingly low and he was continually saying 'I'm rubbish at maths'. Now Maths is one of his favourite subjects and his confidence has really increased - not just in Maths but school work generally. Katie has really helped him build up his core Maths skills and works with him every week to reinforce what he has learned in class and fill in any uncertainties he has. She has also helped him to get a bit ahead in some areas, which again has been great for his confidence when he sees the subjects coming up later in class. Apart from the confidence, the best thing for me is hearing how much laughter comes out of the kitchen every week - he genuinely looks forward to Katie coming and really loves the mix of activities they do - especially the Maths games! Katie has already brought about a real change in attitude and competence for our son and is making such a difference to his enthusiasm and enjoyment of Maths and other subjects. Looking forward to seeing this continue and grow in the months to come - thanks Katie!

Katie has been tutoring my 15 year old from September this year. My daughter has always hated maths and lacked confidence in many aspects. In such a short space of time her grades have went from rock bottom to 70 and 80 percents, which I expect will grow even more, but the most important thing for her was her the massive boost in her confidence. My daughters grades in every other subject have also risen as she now knows what she is capable of. I never imagined one person could make such a difference to my daughters life and for this I will be eternally grateful. I look forward to Saturday evenings to hear Katie giggling away and making my girl excited about learning. X

Her teaching methods are fun and she interacts with Emily on her level which i think is very important. Katie is a lovley girl and does an amazing job. Just had my sensory pop up party for my wee boys first birthday it was fantastic kids had a brilliant time with a very good variety of toys kids at the party were 6 months upto 10years and they have all been talking about it. The face painting was amazing and done what each child had requested ... was a brilliant day and staff were all lovely would recommend them..

JUNE 2017.....Had reservations as to having a tutor for our daughter but, in February 2017, decided to give it a go. WOW the difference one-to-one tutoring has made. Katie makes maths fun. She has boosted our daughter's confidence and grades have excelled. One of the best decisions we have made! Thank you.

I had 4 kids attend the mini medics course at the weekend ages raging from 4-7 they loved it, can't believe how much they learnt that they didn't want it to be over. They loved there pack they got at the end with certificate and worksheets to complete. Thank you Katie and staff can't wait to get them booked in for another course ���

I cannot recommend Excel in Education Tutoring School highly enough. I first met Katie in 4th year, I was finding maths very difficult and receiving D and E grades in most papers. Instantly after our first lesson there was a drastic improvement in my confidence and ability in maths, her teaching method is understandable and friendly which made being tutored a lot more enjoyable than I had expected. I have now completed my GCSE Maths, achieving an A grade, which would not have happened without Katie, she is brilliant.

First contacted Katie to help my son go through some AQE papers over the summer. Best decision EVER! The sessions with Katie were fun and challenging. She certainly got the best out of him and when the AQE was over, Katie gave my P.3 and P.2 some lessons. They fought over who could have Katie the longest!! I cannot recommend Katie enough. Her knowledge and the way she delivers lessons is incredible and she inspires children to want to learn. Proof is in the pudding with an AQE score of 123!!!

Can't wait for your presence in our house again this coming school term - you make learning so much fun and maths so much more interesting than school text book!! Here's to the next year of achieving!! Ready and waiting for your magic !!
