Very pleased to announce we got our grading results back from the NI Tourism Board and we achieved a Four Star Rating.
Wood Burning Stove, Gas Central Heating, Fully fitted kitchen & living area, Tv, dishwasher, oven, fridge/freezer,microwave, kettle, WiFi, Quality Bed's, bedding & nice thick towels along with our tea & coffee and traditional bread selection on arrival all paid off.

You just need yourself and some food - everything else is provided including wood/turf & coal, matches, firelighters, cups, plates, wine glasses, shot glasses, whiskey glasses, soft drink glasses, we even have ice in the freezer for you.
Next best thing to walking on the mountains is looking out at them on a cold winters evening from the warmth of a tucked away cottage at the foot of the Mountain Range.

Gift Vouchers Update: We've had a few queries from people about gift voucher options online so we've made a few changes as explained below to accommodate those looking to buy the vouchers as gifts for family & friends at Christmas.
1. Via the website you can now purchase a voucher and assign the date you want it emailed to the recipient. If you're abroad and looking to buy someone a gift at home for Christmas you can purchase the voucher and set the date as 25/12/19. The syst...em will automatically email the voucher then on that day to the recipient. Equally if you've got someone from abroad coming to visit, you can do the same for them -set the date you want to email the voucher to them on and our system will take care of the rest. Nice little email surprises on Christmas day!!!!рҹ§қвҖҚвҷҖпёҸрҹ§қвҖҚвҷӮпёҸрҹ§қвҖҚв ҷӮпёҸрҹ§қвҖҚвҷҖпёҸ
2. Secondly for those looking to buy a gift voucher as a gift to put under the tree or as part of a Christmas box you can do that by emailing us - manager@fairyriver.co.uk or phoning us 02830480029. The voucher can then be done up like the image on the post with the code in the white box. This can then be emailed to you or put in the post so it can be a physical gift over the holidays.

When we first built the underground cottages we weren't sure if the fairies on the site would approve but when they replicated an underground cottage for themselves we knew they liked our design.
It seems that the word has spread though and now there's a new family of them arriving every week!!!!рҹ§қвҖҚвҷҖпёҸрҹ§қвҖҚвҷӮпёҸрҹ§қвҖҚ вҷҖпёҸрҹ§қвҖҚвҷӮпёҸ

What you could do...
Friday - Arrive 3PM, settle in and have a BBQ with a few drinks by the river in your very own private secluded mountain garden. BBQ provided - just bring some charcoal
Saturday - spend a day in the mountains (direct access from site) or go pony trekking in the Mournes followed by afternoon archery or mountain biking in Castlewellan/Rostrevor.
Book a nice evening meal in Rostrevor or Castlewellan and hunt down some traditional music in one of the many bars in the village.
Sunday - Spend a relaxing morning and afternoon in the Silent Valley just 5 minutes drive away before heading back home refreshed & ready for the week ahead рҹ§қвҖҚвҷӮпёҸрҹ§қвҖҚвҷҖпёҸрҹ§қвҖҚвҷӮпёҸрҹ §қвҖҚвҷҖпёҸ

Their debut album really is fantastic and to see it performed live made it all the more special. What to expect when you visit Fairy River from the cottage itself.
The cottages are located on a private site at the base of the High Mournes Mountain Range with direct access to the mountains from the cottages.
... They're underground and totally integrated into the landscape. You wont see your cottage from anywhere other than directly in front of it.
You can expect you're own private garden with natural stone bistro table and separate natural stone dinner table.
Patio and grass garden with views of the mountains, river and sea.
Inside you'll have a fully functioning kitchen, dining table, cottage suite, fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, pots, pans and everything else.
Bedroom 1 has a 4 ft bed and 1 single and bedroom 2 has 3 single beds. The mattresses are all pocket sprung and hotel quality as are the duvets and sheets so expect a nice comfortable sleep.
Both bedrooms are en-suite and towels are provided.
There is an ironing board, hair dryer and iron in each cottage.
There is also a Bluetooth portable speaker for streaming your music.
Washroom with washing machine and dryer is also on site for your convenience.
So whether you're ordering food in or preparing it yourself you'll have all you need to eat, sleep and relax when you come Glamping with the Fairies.

Idea's for breakfast!!! French toast, bacon and maple syrup with a traditional boiled milk coffee. Just what you'll need before a day in the mountains. Although we're self catering its important to know the cottages each have a fully functioning kitchen with all utensils required. Oven, grill, electric hobs, microwave, toaster, kettle, pots, pans, cups, bowls, plates, egg cups, whisks, the works. Once you've finished making a mess in the kitchen we've even got a dishwasher so you can get away to the mountains while the fairies do the hard work for you once you've left for the horizon.
