Dog bite awareness!
Dogs usually tell us MANY times before they bite. Some climb the aggression ladder quickly, others will be telling us for a LONG time that they are unhappy and are uncomfortable with the situatuion
We come across many people who tells us the dog has bitten without any warning, but the liklihood is (although not in every case) that that dog was telling us and we just didnt know how to listen.
... Try to educate yourself on dog behaviour and some of the signs of discomfort Licking lips? Yawning? Whale eye? Frozen? Ears back? Panting? These are all signs of anxity in dogs
Do not push your dog into a situation where it is not happy. Do not allow your children or another child to abuse their good nature... because everyone has bad daysand one day they might just break.
Teach respect and care and good ways to treat your dog. It may save a life, a child or the dogs!

🐣 Easter hazards🐣
Easter eggs Chocolate contains a chemical called ‘theobromine’, which is toxic to dogs. Giving any type of chocolate to dogs should be avoided.
... Hot cross buns Hot cross buns contain dried fruit, currants, sultanas and raisins – all of these are toxic to dogs and can be fatal.
Spring bulbs Easter is the perfect time of year to give a gift of spring flowers and bulbs, but make sure you keep them well out of reach of your dog – particularly if they like to chew or dig in the garden. Daffodils are poisonous to dogs if they eat the bulbs or flowers, or drink water from a vase with daffodils in. Easter Lilies are beautiful flowers, but the plant has great potential to poison your pet. They are highly toxic, particularly to cats. All parts of the plant are poisonous- Even just licking the flowers, leaves or stems can be fatal. Tiger lilies, Day lilies and Asiatic lilies are also toxic to cats. It’s best to keep all lilies out of your pet’s reach.
Xylitol This is a sugar substitute that is used in sugar free candy and gum. babe careful to keep them out of reach of your pets. While xylitol is perfectly safe for people, it can cause severe hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and even death in dogs.
Plastic Easter Grass This is commonly used to fill Easter baskets. Unfortunately, it’s a tempting snack for cats and dogs. This long, thin, plastic material can become lodged in the pets’ intestines and cause an obstruction.
If you think your pet has been poisoned, act quickly and contact your nearest vet immediately.
