About First Comber

Welcome to the social hub for First Comber Presbyterian Church. Here we'll do our best to keep you updated on the latest news and events from Church.

First Comber Description

A bit like us, our story is not complicated. We're a community of everyday people who want to follow Jesus, His message and His example.

We have lots going on for everyone. Whether you’re a family, single, very young, or not so young – you will find something to help you feel a part of God’s family here.

As well as fun, we enjoy looking after each other - particularly through prayer.

Our Sunday Service is a genuine blend of both contemporary and traditional. Our worship band, choir, children’s church and talks endeavour to engage everyone and enhance our worship of God.

We strive to be, but probably do not always get it right: friendly, loving, accepting and supportive, so that people will be drawn to Jesus and His name honoured.

First Comber isn't just about Sundays. So whether it's 5-a-side, Girls Brigade or Boys Brigade, Mums and Tots, Hill Walking, Life-Groups, Prayer Meetings or Golf we have somewhere you can start your First Comber adventure.

Feel free to contact Claire in the office if you have any questions at all.

As we approach Easter how about considering doing something differently? How about doing just one new, simple act of generosity. That would mean 100s of acts of love and kindness in Comber alone. What hope could that bring to someone, what a difference that one act could make, what a moment for the love of Jesus to be seen in a real way.
In the run up to Easter we’ll be sharing a number of the resources from the 40 acts project to hopefully inspire us all.

Please pray for Gary Boyd’s dad, Alan. Alan has gone through a very serious surgery today and has still to be put into the recovery unit. Give thanks to God for the success of the operation and pray that Alan would begin to recover and heal. Remember Gary’s family in prayer too please that they would all know God’s comfort and closeness to them at this time of uncertainty.

Today Grant talked about making a difference in Comber.
He mentioned three ideas:
1. Praying for Comber and what’s going on here ... 2. A workshop on sharing our faith in the modern world without getting fired 3. Starting an Alpha course
If you’re interested in being part of the discussions or simply think they are good idea then BE AN ENCOURAGER and send Grant a message of support.
