Second Half of evening
Wonderful day yesterday. Thanks guys hubbie and I and our granddaughter had a great day.
What an informative museum
The gentlemen who gave the tour were great.
Worth a visit to reminisce and great for children to see the fantastic collection of old ovens, lights, fires, fridges.
A real little gem in Carrickfergus
What an amazing place. Such a friendly environment, great for family’s and educational trips which you will 100% walk away with lots of historical knowledge. I sure will be returning
Very interesting and much more extensive than I thought it was going to be. The staff are lovely and very enthusiastic about the place. Well worth a visit and very child friendly!
Just had a tour of the Gasworks and I absolutely loved it. Sharon, Brian and Sam are brilliant people to have a tour from. Thank you for the evening
Just got a tour round the gas works with Sharon, Brian and Sam. Absolutely brilliant place and the staff are very welcoming!!! Free tea and coffee and and banter with staff was brilliant. definitely worth a visit and admission is free!
I remember this operating as a child and the smell was terrible at times due to the sulphur. I never realised then just how clever the technology was. It is a marvellous effort to keep this museum going especially as it is one of only 2 or 3 Victorian gasworks left in the British Isles. Worth supporting for the future generations.
Had a great visit and wAs well informed
