Foreglen Social Club provides services between 10am and 3. 00pm on:

* Each Tuesday for clients from Dungiven / Feeny areas

* Each Thursday for clients from Foreglen / Claudy areas


The Foreglen Community Association provides a range of day services for older people across the Foreglen Community Association geographical area for users 60 years and older.

Foreglen Social Club Services aim to promote independence and rehabilitation through comprehensive structured activity programme, which is tailored to meet individual needs.

Activities can be in groups or individual and will be part of a client centred care plan.

Examples of activities include:

Movement to Music
Reminiscence
Health Promotion
Quizzes
Social Outings
Entertainment Sessions
Boccia (Bowling)
Armchair exercises
Bingo
Board Games - scrabble, cards, jigsaws, puzzles
Knitting, Embroidery, Crocheting
Poetry / Reading
Sing Songs

These activities are reviewed regularly through client's meetings.

The following services are provided:

Transport
Transport may be provided.

Meals
Meals provided in Foreglen Social Club will be nutritious and varied to meet the individual assessed and recorded needs and preferences. Meals are revised regularly. A small cost of just £4. 00 covers the services users afternoon 3 course meal in the Social Club Centre as well as tea and scones on their arrival to the centre in the morning.
