Wonderful place - great food, EXTREMELY kid-friendly, with a wonderful hostess. Highly recommended for families, especially with kids 5-10 years old.

User

Went recently for a working lunch, 14 of us in total. Food was great and service was top notch. We had sent in a preorder that morning, and the chef sent out small appetisers when we arrived, great touch.

Have to go back now for dinner!

User

We were celebrating our daughter in laws birthday, Food was brilliant, staff were excellent, service was quick and efficient, a great place with great food.

User

We visited on Friday 15th December in the afternoon.. Wonderful food, wonderful atmosphere, wonderful staff.. Even though the place was full with Christmas & graduation parties our server Peter went out of his way to make us feel welcome & tended to our ever need.. Was no problem when we ordered of different menus and requested food to our needs.. Am looking forward to our next visit already !!

User

We haven’t been for awhile but Frarelli’s never fails to impress, we make up our own menu we get loads of different starters, breads etc and we make it our main meal it means you get to sample loads of different dishes kinda like our own tapas! Top marks highly recommend!

User

User

Lovely food and great service! But omg! So overpriced! £14 for a main and £4.00 for sides! Sides not included!!!! Won't be back! Pasta dish and lasagne very small portion size for a main!!!!

User

First time I've been to this restaurant. It was delicious. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They have special menus for dairy and gluten free dishes. Best to book though. Dress code.

User

Service was excellent but I thought lunch menu options were poor. However, when our son arrived he was able to choose off the evening menu & they will actually adjust the meals for u. The wine on the other hand was very nice & smooth.

Lovely atmosphere & very welcoming but not sure I will be rushing back

Myself and 3 friends had booked a table for 5.30pm on Friday, 15 December. At the time of booking, we were advised that the table was needed again by 8pm, which was no problem for us as we were simply out for a bite to eat and catch up.

Myself and another friend were the first to arrive at approximately 5.20pm, and were seated at the upstairs bar. The bar staff here were fantastic - that is where our positive experience ended!

When the third member of our party arrived, the lady who seemed to be the head waitress was extremely "pushy" and insistent that we sit down and order. We eventually agreed to move to our table and, despite being "pushed to", we refused to order until our final guest arrived. We were well aware that our table was needed again at 8pm, giving us ample time, and did not need constant reminders!

The food came quite quickly, and was not a patch on the original Fratelli at Galgorm Manor. Lukewarm and bland. We had no sooner finished our main courses, than the head waitress was again over, asking if we wanted anything else. We ordered desserts, finished these, and were enjoying a leisurely chat as it was only 7pm, when the head waitress AGAIN came over and said that she had a table for us OUTSIDE (with the smokers presumably - no offence!) and would we mind moving out there if she put a heater on for us!! Needless to say, we didn't move outside, but paid the bill and left as it had been obvious since our arrival that she wanted us in and out as quickly as possible. I don't work in the hospitality industry, but I'm fairly sure I could clear, wipe down and reset a table in much less than an hour!

In summary, it was a very disappointing visit. Fratelli in Ballymena is one of my favourite restaurants - unfortunately the Belfast one can't even begin to compete. We felt constantly hassled and rushed from the minute we arrived, and the food was very disappointing.

Definitely won't be back!
