I’m not sure if the French regard chilli as a breakfast staple but this venue does. Excellent service, strong coffee and over spiced beans and sausage. M the breakfast was pleasant but no more. The chillis in the beans completely overwhelmed everything else.

Hand churned butter in the tiniest most impractical container possible.

We popped in here for breakfast after a night out in Belfast to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was just the perfect way to end our brief time away. I had the French village breakfast and my wife had the breakfast board. I'm sorry I've no photos but when you set a feed like that down in front of me I don't generally hang around admiring it and taking pictures! It might not seem like much from the description on the menu but let me tell you, you'll not need lunch in a hurry. My wife had a beautiful croissant and here's a thing, our coffee was hot and stayed so nearly too the last drop. It might seem odd but it's amazing the number of places that can't achieve such a simple task. Staff are brilliant; friendly, helpful, efficient. A great addition to the burgeoning Belfast restaurant scene.

My favourite place to eat, their breakfast menu is the best in Belfast. Lovely lunch and dinner options with lots of specials so you're not constantly seeing the same old menu items. Lots of competition for business on the Lisburn Road but French Village is consistently good - good food, good service, good vibe!

Style over substance. Food looks great but the flavour just wasn't there.

The venue was mostly occupied showing obvious popularity among locals. Unfortunately, for me, it was disappointing experience. Waitress struggled to understand what I'm asking to the point when I just gave up. No fresh juice on Menu. When asked about flavoured or pure still water the suggestion from the waitress was cola, 7up... When asked about some nice bread to compliment my breakfast I was given menu of pastries and cakes... Meal was all right but way too spicy for breakfast-no notification on menu. Also menu very poorly presented and quater of the items (as I was informed) were simply not available. Lower the prices by whole one class and you get what you pay for. There won't be next time for me in French village.

Called in here for breakfast and I must say that the food was delicious and service was great. I would recommend trying the waffles and would return again.
Only negative was the kitchen doesn't start serving food until 10am which we weren't advised of when being seated.
