I am now a Personal Trainer, running my own embryonic business called Fresh Air Fitnesse. If you're a bit put off by what you see as pretentious and stuffy gyms then I'm your man. (I know girls who put on more makeup to go to the gym, than go out at night! ) If you want to get fit in the great outdoors then call me on 07956459 667. It's been a long and soul searching journey, which I'd like to tell you about.

Some of you maybe aware I've had a challenging couple of years to say the least! Having been with the BBC for 15 years, I developed a stress related chest wall problem called Barrett's Esophagus. Initially I thought I was having a heard attack and dialed 999. Until diagnosed, and treated the condition leads to an unexpectedly frightening shortage of breath.
It was initially hard to come to terms with, as up until then I'd lead a reasonably charmed life health wise.
As a result I felt I'd no choice but to take voluntary redundancy from the Beeb. Since then my personal life also took a turn for the worse, and, without going into the detail I now have a broken heart as well as a broken chest wall!
However, a couple of years ago, the only thing that's kept my physical and mental sanity has been a decision to throw myself into fitness.
I now run 50 miles a week, cycle like a man possessed and combine dumbbell work with the state of the art exercise machines at the local parks here. It's worked a treat. I've lost three stone, trained as a P. T, done numerous Park runs, (to be highly recommended where ever you live on these isles and beyond! ) and recently ran the Belfast Marathon.
I now have my brilliant guinea pig girls who I've started to train, who I hope will both say I have a bit of craic, but can be a hard taskmaster!
Again, this is life changing moment and hard to bare one's soul so publicly so cheers for your patience!
In a nutshell fitness changed my life, so I would love to start helping others change theirs. I know everyone has their ups and downs in life, but I basically lost my health, job, home, and partner in quick succession.
Please try me out. I'm not evangelical about it, but I know I can get you fit and feeling good about yourself again. Whether it's a short term project like wanting to look fantastic for an upcoming wedding, wanting to look the sexiest thing on the beach for your hols, or want to look good and feel good for life, please get in touch. Both sexes of all ages welcome. I work with one of two people a session.
